Have any of you users of this product had issues with: you don't have permission to view files on a old ide drive and solved the problem ?

Yes and you can resolve the issue by clicking on the appropriate button to take control of the file or folder. When the warning window pops up just select the "ok" or whatever button it displays and you will have control.

Yes - it's because the "owner" of the data on the drive has a different name than the PC you are connecting to You can take ownership by adding the current name on the permissions tab. On some files/folders it simply says click OK to take ownership.
