Does anyone know how many amps the fuse in the plug is rated for? If I buy this product, should I consider buying extra fuses?

I called Bestek. They tell me that there is no user-accessible fuse in this inverter. There's a 40 Amp (!!!) fuse soldered into the circuit board but none integrated into the cigarette lighter adapter.

Thank you for calling them. That’s what I wanted to know. If there was a fuse in the plug in part.

The 40 amp fuse is likely on the DC side of the board. Watts = volts x current. 300 watts is 25 amps on the DC side. Consider that power supplies aren't 100% efficient, then also consider that fuses are sometimes sized for up to 150% of maximum load. So a 40A fuse would make perfect sense if it is on the DC side.
