4.0 out of 5 starsGreat shoes.... but can a middle-aged man wear them in 2016?
September 6, 2016
I loved these shoes when I had them as a teenager in the 1970s. Fast forward.... I bought a pair of these in 2010. I loved wearing them again! Retro! Modern! Then they wore out I bought another pair in 2015. I loved wearing them again.... again! Then my son pointed out that Superstars are very popular with teenage girls. To rub it in, he sent my lots of pictures of girls at his high school wearing them.
Just received mine about an hour ago. They look good, like good fakes. I own a few pair of Adidas and these don't look the same quality. You can see the glue seeping from the seams. On top of that, they feel horrible. Extremely narrow, and I'm a slim guy I don't have very wide feet. Will be returning promptly. I don't recommend purchasing from this seller unfortunately.
Bought these back in September of last year, and there already coming apart at the toe cap. I don’t even wear them that much. I wore the superstar 2g shoes for years and never had any issues. I guess Adidas doesn’t care about quality anymore, just sell as many cheaply made shoes as possible. Maybe I’ll start wearing New Balance now
I was skeptical about these shoes reading the reviews, but I guess I got lucky and got a good pair! They are clean cut and brand new as if I just bought them at Champs or Footlocker. Fits well and looks fine (so far), but let see how it holds up 2 weeks from now.
A classic tennis shoe. What you see is what you get. The tough rubber toe cover really comes in handy if you ever get stepped on. Not great at any one thing, but good at everything and is very durable.
