I don't want to go into details because I'd have to type much longer than I want to, but I just don't like this book. I wanted to like it! It sounded promising! But in reality, it was trivial and pretty childish. Sometimes people have big problems that can't be solved by saying "Think positive thoughts!"
I got this journal from a friend for my birthday. I laughed and chuckled thumbing through it the first time, and then bought a few copies to give away to close friends and mentees. My 14-year-old daughter then picked up a copy when my order was delivered, and started reading it out loud, first asking if she can sound out all the expletives. I said yes, and my god, we guffawed, tears welling and rolling down our cheeks. We had SO MUCH FUN together, and I offered one of the copies to her. She said it was very cathartic to say so many f's and s's and was going to enjoy filling out the pages, coloring the pictures and drawing up more of her own designs too. TWO THUMBS UP for giving us the opportunity to connect and laugh until we cried.
Sometimes you don't need the typical therapy that therapists are taught in school..."coping skills" and crap. Sometimes you just need the F word. I have several friends going through divorces right now or going through huge life changes. This book provides a good laugh and just puts all the real stuff right out there. There's no putting on a face, following rules, or trying to be nice. It's life as it is. I highly recommend!!
I deal with bad depression and anxiety and this book helps more than I thought it would! I tend to always focus on all of the negatives of my life and I never take time to think about the positive or good things that happen. This book makes me think about my negatives but also my positives which makes me see past the negative and that there are good things to life and that your brain is just mean. :) It really helps you open your mind up and loosen up so you aren’t just trapped in your own mind. It’s relaxing, and helps get bottled emotions out! Highly recommend this book.
This is the cutest little book. It’s not for those offended by swearing, but I find it hilarious (the book, they frown upon swearing where they pay me) and like it a lot. This would be a fun secret Santa gift for co-workers. I think college age women would love this as a stocking stuffer too. You will be remembered by whomever you give it too and I think they will “pay this book forward”. I have and Amazon is the cheapest place to find it. It’s very snarky!!
When I saw this online it seemed cool but when I got it in the mail today I absolutely LOVE it. The colors are so vivid. They have amazing prompts to journal and get your feelings out and they do it in a fun way. It’s not the “normal” book size, it’s a little smaller and that makes it extra cute.. haha. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. You won’t be disappointed
I haven't journaled in years, but I wanted to start again, so I thought I'd find a good prompted journal to start with. This one feels like it was made for me! I have really enjoyed this fun little journal for the last month, and it's really helped me to sort my thoughts and reframe my mindset. I love the variety of prompts and activities included in the journal. I've worked through most of this one in a little less than a month, and have already ordered Monica Sweeney's 'Let That Sh*t Go.' I'm also planning to gift this book to a few of my friends! This is the perfect journal for anyone with a foul mouth who enjoys the fine art of sarcasm, especially if you're going through a rough patch or feeling "stuck."
My therapist recommended guided journaling. I was willing to give it a try, but the ones she had were so sappy and overly optimistic. That just isn’t me at all. When I saw this I knew it was perfect for me! Just as brash, opinionated and potty mouthed as I am. It makes me feel better just looking at the beautiful, colorful pages and witty, truthful sayings. Buy this if the vanilla positivity sh*t just doesn’t do it for you!
Love this! Bought this for a family member for christmas. She's constantly up in arms and generally anxious. This book puts a hilarous spin on self care and appreciation. I do wish the book was a little larger, just for writing and ease of use purposes, but the smaller size really doesn't take anything away from it. Can't wait to give it to her!
I bought this for my sister. Her favorite word is f*** and her favorite emoji is the middle finger. So, naturally, this was perfect for her. Also, if you know my sister she freaked out at silence of the lambs. When she was younger and lived by herself she watched silence of the lambs and then called for me to come stay with her because of Buffalo Bill. Haha. So, since then, it’s a joke with our family that any meme or silence of the lamb reference we share to her Facebook page or say something while commenting on something to reference it. Well, she sent me a text with a silence of the lambs reference in this book! Haha! I’m convinced this book was made specifically for my sister and I’m so glad I got it for her!
