Wrangler, Levi's, and Lee's comparison roundup

I bought a pair each of regular fit, straight leg, zipper fly Levi's, Lee, and Wrangler jeans. The Levi's(505) were $40, the Lee's $32, and the Wrangler's $20. I washed all of them once, in cold water. They all fit about the same. The construction seems to be about the same too. All had 5 belt loops and reinforced the same points. They all were about the same weight denin. One difference I could find was that the Levi's had two rivets on the coin pocket while the Lee's and Wranglers had one rivet there and sewed the other side of the coin pocket into the main pocket seam. Also, the Levi's print your jean size on the outside label, while the Lee's and Wranglers do not. Both the Levi's and Lee have a double stitched external inseam on the inside of the legs and a concealed inseam on the outside of the legs. The Wranglers reversed this with the concealed inseam on the inside and a double stitched seam on the outside. The length of the inseam, compared to the advertised length, was pretty close, with the Lee's being the longest, and the Wranglers the shortest.
Overall, I would say they all three pairs look like they will be fine over the longer term. So perhaps the price difference and your preference for brands might be the deciding factor.

It's so unfortunate that all the great jean companies have gone straight to the gutter no quality. I worked construction for forty years the jeans were built to last now they rip when your watching TV on the sofa ? Remember levis old school logo two work horses can't pull these jeans apart, now two poodles can pull any of these Chinese jeans in two. The material is not thin it is see thru, hold them up to a light and you can see right thru. How long before Wrangler starts making their cowboy jeans in China so they can destroy what's left of their reputation. Thanks Wrangler.

Somewhat smaller than expected so returned to Amazon. Have the same size in blue jeans which fit perfectly. Plan on buying next size larger.

Why are black jeans a different size than blue jeans? second pair of black jeans I bought second pair that were longer than a 32. And after talking with male and female friends apparently it's a very common problem.

These are the perfect jeans. Great fit, and excellent durability, they simply can't be beaten for the price. These are the jeans that I will be wearing for years to come.

They are not the heaviest of denim, but they fit great and look great. They seem to be well made - good seams, no loose threads. I'll be buying more in different colors.

Delivered promptly. Good fit and still the same great quality. I use my older pairs as work jeans, but the new black ones look so good, I can wear with a sports coat and still look somewhat sharp.
