A Quality Internet Cam for monitoring your home and pets
April 27, 2019
I've been researching internet connected cameras for a bit and decided to give this Tenvis wireless camera a shot. at 5" high and about the same in diameter, this Tenvis HD camera sits pretty discretely in my living room. Made in a glossy, white plastic, it would definitely fit into a kitchen or nursery to watch over things.
Download the Tenvisty app to configure the web camera, I had it connected to wireless and running in under 10 minutes. It's a funky configuration process where you scan the cameras barcode and then the app plays an audio signal to finish up the configuration but it all works well! Once complete, you can view your monitor through the Tenvisty web app to keep an eye out on things.
Monitoring is pretty cool, you can pan the camera up and down along with side to side in a pretty large arc. Zoom in by pinching and expanding out the image, swipe in any direction to pan. And the night vision is very effective giving you visibility even when it's nearly totally dark (see pic with this review). While the Tenvis web cam can do HD, SD quality level is fine. Pop in a memory card if you want an archival of your monitoring or just use the camera as a live-stream. You also have 2-way audio communication allowing you to listen in on what's happening or maybe talk to your pet remotely, awesome!
Given that this is my first wireless webcam, I don't have anything to compare it to but it's impressed me. At this price, the configuration and app were easy, the picture is sharp and clear and the functionality for a device in this price range is great. So a big thumbs-up from me for the Tenvis HD IP Camera, I'm hoping it's durable and holds up well over time.
