I have several Vionics for My standing job, they helped my plantar fasciitis pain. These are the prettiest. Comfortable, true to size. The only bad thing about all of them is your feet stink, I think it has to do with the lining so spray deodorant on your feet. I wish they would make more models because I have 6 pairs of the same.
I LOVE Vionic shoes and for at least the last 10 years they have been primarily the only shoes I buy and wear because they provide excellent support and alignment for my knees and hips. Over the past few years I have had terrible problems with my sandals causing or retaining terrible foot odor. I purchased this pair of sandals just two or three months ago and I am unable to wear them already because the shoes smell awful but look brand new. I am very disappointed especially since Vionics are fairly expensive. I am now searching for a different brand that can provide the same benefits that the Vionic footbed offers without the horrible foot odor. I did purchase one pair of sandals that seem to be working out fairly well - zero foot odor - but the support is not quite as good as the Vionic.
I went to San Antonio two weeks ago, and none of my shoes were comfortable. In fact, one evening I was hobbling back to the hotel. I have plantar fasciitis, and in the morning when I would get up my feet were in excruciating pain. Knowing I’m going to Europe in two weeks, it was an absolute necessity to find comfortable shoes. I went to my local store and found the Vionics Brand has an extremely high arch which was exactly what I needed. I decided to order them online as a price search Amazon had them at a cheaper price. I’ve ordered multiple pairs tried them, and sent back what I don’t need. Please know the shoes run one whole size large. I wear a size 8, but in Vionics I take a size 7. Great for plantar fasciitis! When I got up this morning, my feet were hurting I put them on, and I was instantly relieved of pain. These shoes are a cute style, I got them in the patent leather. All of the straps are adjustable with Velcro. So you can customize the fit that way. I ordered wide and they seem a little more wide than I would like, but they feel great. The regular size 7 seemed a little narrow on the side. I have other styles on order.
These shoes are very cute and have significantly helped to alleviate my heel pain. I especially like having the ability to remove the decorative strap. For the price, these shoes should be real leather, but I purchased them for the built-in orthotics. They are comfortable, but I wish they had some cushioning. They are quite hard, and for some unknown reason there are painful little bumps all over the foot bed. Overall, I am pleased with my first pair of Vionic shoes.
I have wide feet & these sandals in the wide size were perfect for me. I ordered an 8W and they fit great. I am a size 8, but find I need to get a larger size in other brands I've ordered. These truly seem to be an 8. The straps all adjusted, which is really nice. The back strap, toe strap and top strap are all adjustable with Velcro. Which means no break in time should be necessary. And if the straps do stretch a bit they can always be tightened down. I like a dressy sandal that is also comfortable. Theses are exactly what I was hoping to find for my next cruise.
I had to return the 6.5 for a 6. Even with the 6, it's a little bit long for my foot. I like the built in arch support of Vionic sandals and the velcro straps to adjust to my foot swelling (I have an ankle injury). The patent straps and decorative front allows me to wear anything, from shorts to dresses. Be careful when walking on wet, slippery surfaces as there is no grip under the sandal. This is my third Vionic sandal!
This is my third pair of Vionic sandals with concealed orthotic support. Recommended by my Podiatrist for my very thin, flat, pronating feet, I’ve worn my other 2 pairs for shopping, out to dinner, sightseeing, and even on an unexpected 2 mi hike in the woods with my 6 yo grandson. Because I can no longer wear heels, I bought these to have for dressier evenings on a cruise. For my achy feet, these sandals are simply wonderful! The color is difficult to describe as it’s not beige or vanilla. It’s more of a creamy champagne with a subtle suggestion of blush. The gold discs are a lovely touch and dress them up a bit. My other pairs are on their 3rd summer and still look great although I’m going to contact Vionic to find out how best to clean the beige footbed of the navy pair. They run long so order 1 size down. I have a narrow foot but the medium width is fine. They are the most comfortable sandal in the world!
I like everything about this shoe except that the right shoe cannot be adjusted to avoid hitting on my bunion. I had hoped to be able to adjust the strap away from the bunion and be in comfort, but that’s not possible. The shoe is very pretty, runs a little large, but can be adjusted otherwise. Will have to return because I can’t stand the pain on my bunion which is just on the side if my right toe. I will look at more Vionic shoes because they do make a good shoe
I have 2 other vionic sandals which are comfortable. these are not flexible and they seem to not be as cushiony as my 2 other styles. I can't figure it out. They are also not as cute as the other ones. I can get over the cuteness, I am fairly "young" but have serious foot problems and arthritis and I am disapointed they are not very comfortable. Maybe time will break them in? Makes me wonder about quality control. The other sandals were comfortable right out of the box.
These sandals are very cute and very comfortable right out of the box. While I love the look, the feel and the many compliments I’ve received, there is one concern. There is zero traction on wet surfaces. I discovered this while washing my tile floor at home during the “break in period”. I was slipping all over unlike when I wear my Clark’s I specifically bought these because I needed a good sandal for my plantar fasciitis for an upcoming trip to Italy, so I was happy to discover the flaw before we left
I wore these all over Italy for hours of walking and the comfort was superior to the very good athletic shoes that I brought. Unfortunately there was a pop up thunderstorm in Sorrento and I was not surprised that I slipped on the slick cobblestones even though I was aware of the issue. Bottom line, I recommend them, but if there is the slightest chance of rain, wear something else.
I notice they have updated the sandal for 2020 and it looks like the sole now provides traction!
I bought these for my 83-year old mother who has severe rheumatoid arthritis in her hands and feet. She's been looking for navy sandals with ankle straps, but no buckles that can be worn with a dress. The width was perfect for her toes (which are splayed out) and the adjustable straps for heel, ankle and toes ensure a secure fit so she won't fall down or trip. She was really pleased with these sandals and said they were "just perfect". The design adds a little pizazz that gives the plain jane, ugly orthotic a run for its money. Worth the price!
