I was hesitant to order a dress I hadn't tried on but the reviews seemed pretty good! I am 5'4 and a size 12/14 and this dress fits great! I ordered a large! The fabric is so soft and I have received a ton of compliments on it!
I had high hopes after getting a Pop Sugar app notification. and reading the Amazo. reviews that this was a great deal. I was really disappointed when I received it. It feels like there is an elastic band at the empire bust position. I’m 5’7” and it drags on the floor. Feels like a flimsy t-shirt. I returned item.
I am 5 ft tall so it's very hard to find maxi dresses that don't need to be hemmed. These dresses are the perfect length with my wedges - hits right at the floor! (Which is the type of shoe I usually wear with the maxi dresses I do have) If I wanted to wear sandals I would have to make a little side knot to keep it from dragging. I have already ordered the dress in other colors - along with my height, I am about 140, size C/D in bras and I ordered a medium. It fits great at the top, not too tight or loose
I've ordered these dresses from different sellers- this was the only one with the dark teal color I wanted for Fall. This sellers dress is much thinner material it goes sheer if stretched and MUCH more empire waist than the model displays. 5'5 140 34 B "column" body type so it wasn't like I lost any length due to curves. Maybe if I sized up it may have been better, but the material was too thin (like a nightgown) AND there was blaring flaw in the fabric right across the chest and back panel (looked like a 1 inch wide white stripe woven into the fabric) This is one of those hit or miss sellers who lack consistency. One dress may be amazing and the next one an epic sewing fail. Good Luck.
Pros: the color is nice and the material is pretty soft. The pockets are great and the size is let true to standard.
Cons: the material is thin. You can see though it in the light. It's not long enough for tall people. I'm 5'11" and it's pretty short on me. The waistline is awkwardly placed and makes me look pregnant, because of the cut. It's not flattering on me in the slightest.
Usually, I am pretty sketched out by clothes on Amazon. But a friend recommended this dress, and I needed a maxi dress for an important event, so I tried it. And OKAY WOW. This dress is fantastic! So comfortable, flattering, and the hunter green color is really lovely too. I have gotten compliments on it every time I’ve worn it! Also if something is incredibly comfortable and very cute, that is a win. The pockets are fun too! However, based on the material of the dress, I don’t put anything too heavy in them, since then it is quite obvious there is something in your pocket. Only other downside, the material will definitely show your panty lines, so make sure to wear a seamless pair (or something similar). Also, I am 5’7” and the dress nearly reached the ground, so it is pretty long. Being tall, it is definitely nice to find a maxi dress that doesn’t hit me at my ankles! Overall it’s one of my favorite online shopping purchases!
I really like this dress however it needs to be worn with caution. It's very thin. It's not transparent but I definitely had to take some time to find which bra I could wear with it that didn't show all my back chub as well as all of the parts of my bra. The butt area is also thin so making sure you don’t have underwear lines takes the same time as the bra. I do worry that any sweat that may occur will absorb and show through because its such a thin material so I can't wear it with full confidence in the summer but it is very soft and comfy. I am 5'4" 160 lbs and ordered a MEDIUM.
Edit: Attached is a photo of the hem unraveling after 2-3 wears.
This dress is awesome. I bought it at 7 months pregnant to present a scholarship and then wore it again 9 months pregnant to a funeral. It's dressy enough for any occasion, and casual enough to wear daily if you enjoy dresses. The green I ordered is accurate in the pictures. The material is thick enough for good coverage, but thin enough to stay cool in 80°+ weather. With a huge belly, the bottom of the dress did creep up higher than my ankles and I am only 5'4, but it didn't bother me.
I love the pretty dark green. I am 5’2” and had to cut a size M off about 5” to get it off the floor enough to walk without tripping in 2” heels. I think it was worth the trouble. Nice soft, lightweight fabric. Not see-through. Oddly, I bought an identical dress from a different vendor in red, and despite identical labeling and overall fit, it had poorer quality elastic in the empire waist band so that the dress hung like a sack and I had to reinforce it with better elastic and hem it!
I’m 5’4 145lbs. I got the medium in green and I love it. It’s so soft and fits perfect. I may be able to fit a small but being than it’s a thing material I didn’t wanna squeeze in it and have it be see through, from stretching it. This is something you want it just fit perfectly and flows without hugging you. I love that it has pockets. I wash and hanged dry because I don’t like throwing these material in dryer just in case of shrinking. Loved this purchase and would purchase more in different colors.
I got the dark green. I'm 5'7, 140 lbs, D chest. It's a little see-through in the chest where it's a bit taut, but I just wear a dark colored bra and you can't tell. The length is perfect for heels - I think it might graze the floor if I wore flats with it, but I don't plan to. The waist fits, but isn't tight. So if I put anything with some weight to it in a pocket, it does pull down a bit, but probably not noticably to anyone else. Overall I think it's beautiful, super comfortable, and totally worth the money!
Although the feel and quality of this dress were great, the style was not what I wanted. The pictures show the bunched up part at the natural waist. Instead, this bunched up waist was mostly right under my bust - maybe I should have expected this, given that I have a DD bust size. But it just looked bad, drawing attention to my bust and falling loosely off it. It didn't go in at the waist like it seemed in the pictures. So I had to return it
