I was hesitant to order a dress I hadn't tried on but the reviews seemed pretty good! I am 5'4 and a size 12/14 and this dress fits great! I ordered a large! The fabric is so soft and I have received a ton of compliments on it!
I had high hopes after getting a Pop Sugar app notification. and reading the Amazo. reviews that this was a great deal. I was really disappointed when I received it. It feels like there is an elastic band at the empire bust position. I’m 5’7” and it drags on the floor. Feels like a flimsy t-shirt. I returned item.
Pros: the color is nice and the material is pretty soft. The pockets are great and the size is let true to standard.
Cons: the material is thin. You can see though it in the light. It's not long enough for tall people. I'm 5'11" and it's pretty short on me. The waistline is awkwardly placed and makes me look pregnant, because of the cut. It's not flattering on me in the slightest.
This dress is okay. It fits pretty well and is comfortable, but the material is really thin. It doesn’t really matter for the bottom as it’s flowy, but it makes the top see-through. I don’t have a large chest, and you can easily see my bra through it, so I would imagine women with large chests would have a big problem. I am keeping it because the bottom is cute, and I can throw a cardigan over the top, or wear a matte nude bra and it’s not very noticible. The sleeves are not too tight, which I sometimes have a problem with in fitted tops. I am 5’ 4” 160, and the meadium was a good length and fit other than the top being sheer.
Great fit. I’m 5’1 and 160 and a medium fit exactly right. The reason for the three stars is that the dress arrived smelling strongly of chemicals. I washed 4 times before I was able to wear the first time and even then a faint smell lingered. Hopefully after a couple more washes the smell will go away.
I was really excited to buy this dress based on the reviews. I am 5'0" and 110 pounds and went with the extra small based on reviews. Most of my fellow shorties said it fit them, so I was hopeful. When I got the dress, it was around 5-6 inches too long. I was pretty disappointed because I'd wanted to wear it for family photos that weekend. But my bigger concern was the smell. It arrived with an overwhelming burnt smell. Strong enough to make me cough! It smells like burnt plastic. I washed it, and the good news is that it shrunk up considerably-- it now perfectly fits my short legs! The bad news is that it still reeks. I've soaked it in Febreze and washed it two more times, and the stink is still there. It worked out for photos, because people can't smell it in a picture, but unfortunately, I can't wear it because the smell is so overwhelming. I'm sure this is a fluke, but be warned! It fits me fine in the chest, but is slightly see-through, so wear a nude bra or a tank top underneath!
I'm not a huge fan of rayon bc it shrinks so much but decided to give this a try. But the fabric is really weird. When it arrived it felt wet and really smelled bad. I hung it up so it could 'dry' and unwrinkle. My biggest surprise when trying it on was how long it is. Maybe that is bc I hung it up overnight but it is long. I am 5'10" and it hits the floor. Which is nice for me but not necessarily for someone shorter. It may also shrink a lot once washed. I was also disappointed to see that I could see my black underwear when bending over. I got the purply grey color. But I am going to keep it as a 'housedress', something to receive friends in and hang on the patio in the summer. Maybe it will keep the mosquitoes from biting my legs. But I don't think I will ever wear it in public. It is very thin and clingy.
I read the reviews. I read reviews for larger bust. This is a true empire waist. Perhaps my size is different. I can wear large-2x. if I had gone up in size I would have been swimming in dress on bottom. **** the empire waist sat on my bust not below. Therefore I returned it. Ill skip the dress for now. I liked how there was a flow from below the bust down. It was a perfect balance of flow & fitted. Im 5'7 and tthis was way too long. I also loved the feel of the fabric. Wished it had fit. I was looking for a micro wardrobe fix.
I love these dresses and I ordered several in different colors. Ultimately the grey one was like 3 inches shorter then the other colors so it looked weird. I am 5'10" and 170 pounds. I got XLs in the other patterns and they all hit just below the ankle and look cute with flats. Just not the grey for some reason.
I like this dress and must have looked at it in the wrong light the first time I tried it on bc I didn't notice how sheer it was. So I got it hemmed - I am 5'4" - pUt it on for work the other day - and oH no no it can't be a work dress given the fact you could see my undergarmets. Unfortunate bc the material is really nice. And NO I don't want to wear a slip - takes away from the cozy factor. White is nice color but recommend chooising something else
Purchased the navy blue in XL. I'm almost 8 & 1/2 months pregnant and it wasn't very flattering on me. After reading the reviews and viewing the images, I decided to purchase it for my upcoming maternity shoot. Unfortunately I won't be using this dress. It's only fitted in the breast area and the rest is way too baggy/ free flowing and I wanted a more fitted effect. For reference I'm 5"5 & currently 210 lbs. I could have gotten a Large but would still need to have from the hips go down taken in
