I was hesitant to order a dress I hadn't tried on but the reviews seemed pretty good! I am 5'4 and a size 12/14 and this dress fits great! I ordered a large! The fabric is so soft and I have received a ton of compliments on it!
I LOVE these dresses, so much so that I have multiples in several colors, and even some duplicates of my favorites. They wash well and do not shrink at all, although the fabric does begin to dull slightly and has begun to have tiny little pills after a couple of months I would say. That said, I do have two particular criticisms. First, the fabric is silky soft like a bamboo fabric with a little stretch, so suuuuper comfy, however it is somewhat sheer. This is most noticeable in the chest area, as you can totally see my cleavage and outline of my breasts and bra right through the dress. I’m a 50-year old mom and wear these to school events, etc., in other words, not exactly places where I want my boobage on full display. In fact, often I notice other people, particularly other moms, kind of notice my boobs and then seem to try to pretend not to notice but keep nervously glancing as if, wow, her top is really revealing, is that on purpose? 😂. Okay, maybe they aren’t thinking quite that and perhaps I’m a bit self-conscious and reading too much into it, but the top is really noticeably sheer. The other issue is that I am 5’4 and need to be at least six inches taller to not struggle with getting my feet tangled up in the hem of the dress, even when I knot the hemline to help out. Part of the beauty of the dress is the inexpensive price, so I really don’t want to have to invest in having ALL of them hemmed. I may eventually try hem tape, because I don’t have a sewing machine either. All in all, these dresses are SO comfy and easy but I wish they weren’t so sheer and wish they weren’t so long.
I’m not one to usually leave a review but I feel too many women have a hard time judging sizes offline so I’ll say, I ordered the white floral which is super pretty in person. Like I genuinely love it! However it’s way too sheer. It comes with a tag that says to wear a neutral undergarment color and I did but my bra still was incredibly see through on the front and back. The fit is great although a little looser I would of loved it more. I’m 5’9 250lbs and I ordered the 2XL. I’m sending it back for a darker color in hopes I can wear it. The material is great!! The white just needs a revamp.
My initial order for this dress was the print on the blue background. I was sent the black background in error. I was going to just return it without even taking it out of the bag; however, I decided to have a look at it and try it on to check the sizing. Visually, the fabric quality and the vividness of the print were excellent; however, the WOW factor was in the fit and length. Both were perfect! I am a tall big-boned gal with broad shoulders, and at 5'10, 215, lbs finding a true maxi-length dress has always been very difficult. When I slipped the dress on and felt it fall just pass my ankle, I literally jumped for joy! At that moment, I decided it was a keeper, in spite of the background color, and I quickly reordered it in the blue background. When I received the second order I was pleased that the quality of the material was the same, and the vividness of the print was the same. What was not the same was the sizing. Although the tag in the dress had the same size printed on it as the dress with the black background, the dress with the blue background was cut 1 1/2" narrower in width than the one with the black background. You'd think that a small difference like that wouldn't matter. Trust me, it does. The fit around my arms, across my chest, and in my waistline was more snug, and the length fell just above my ankles, not past them as the black one does. I don't get the manufacturers cutting the more colorful fabric smaller that it's sized, however, this is an issue that I've frequently run across when clothes shopping throughout the years. Because it's so pretty, I decided to keep the blue dress and gift it to a family member. After this experience, I suggest going up a size if you're going to purchase this dress in the blue background.
I’m 5’10” about 205lbs and the dress was a tad snug on my arms and bust. It’s a little shorter than I like but other than that, it’s so comfy and perfect for a dressy occasion or to dress down to casual. It gives me a little bit of a pooch look in my stomach area. But other than that, I do overall like the product especially for the price.
I am 24 weeks pregnant and usually wear a size 10/12 or L. However, my bust has drastically increased during this pregnancy (now a 34J). The dress is very comfy but if my bust grows much more, it likely won't fit. I'm 5'2" with a very short torso. I ordered an XL hoping it would accommodate both belly and bust. Bust is not too tight at all, just right on the border of not fitting into the empire waist. I'll also have to get this dress hemmed, which I assumed would be the case. I'm curious how an XXL would fit for me with this pregnancy and might order one if this one becomes too small.
Bought in the purple/grey first to test out sizing and it's so pretty! Very comfy dress, and definitely something that will fit nicely whether you're pregnant or not, so I like that I'll be able to keep wearing it. I bought a 2nd in one of the greens. Both gorgeous, LOVE the pockets (even my husband noticed and was excited for me!). Two things that knocked off the 1 star - not really the material or mfg fault but the material pilled up really easily around my belly when my dog jumped in my lap. Dog nails will do that but it was on my way to family Easter and I was a little bummed it happened so quickly. Also the dresses are a tad too short after washing. And I'm pretty short at 5'2" so I was surprised to see that. I still recommend - definitely economical option with beautiful colors!
Loved this dress. Bought a small and it was a little long for me at 5’3. It drug the ground. Fit great everywhere else and I’m around 130 lbs. Loved the colors and the fit was even better than I expected. Would totally buy another or recommend. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because it is so long and it seems to “go in” towards my ankles instead of falling straight down-making me look a little pear shaped. Otherwise, a win!
I really like this dress however it needs to be worn with caution. It's very thin. It's not transparent but I definitely had to take some time to find which bra I could wear with it that didn't show all my back chub as well as all of the parts of my bra. The butt area is also thin so making sure you don’t have underwear lines takes the same time as the bra. I do worry that any sweat that may occur will absorb and show through because its such a thin material so I can't wear it with full confidence in the summer but it is very soft and comfy. I am 5'4" 160 lbs and ordered a MEDIUM.
Edit: Attached is a photo of the hem unraveling after 2-3 wears.
The dress itself is very pretty. The colors are vibrant but not in an overpowering way. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft and comfortable this dress is as well. I live in Florida and can wear this dress year round. I'm 5'6" and ordered a medium. I usually wear dresses in sizes 8 or 10, jeans in size 10 and shirts in size medium or small depending on the type of shirt. This medium fit perfectly. The length is just right for my height.... not so long that is drags the floor, but definitely not too short. A true maxi dress feel. I plan on ordering more in a variety of colors.
I bought the printed burgundy in medium and it’s not really see through per say. The fabric is white on the back and when it stretches the front turns white. What you wear under it won’t make a difference. My daughter and I are the same size (5’2”, 140lbs) except in the chest. She’s a 34B and I’m a 36DD. On her it’s perfect. So cute! On me the chest kinda blinks white to burgundy as it expands and contracts with movement. Otherwise it’s great. I’m going to let her keep it and I’m going to try a solid color in the hopes that the fabric is died all the way through and not printed. I’m also going size up and hope it’s not too big. It’s really comfortable and really cute. As far as length goes, it will need to be hemmed if She wears it with flats. If she put it with wedges or heels it would be fine like it is. I hope that makes sense and helps someone make a decision.
