They were very hard, not a “soft chew” at all. Maybe they were old, but they didn’t help my best buddy at all...I didn’t even open the second bag that came with them. I saw no difference in my dog’s mobility, pain or anything other than he liked the taste. I then ordered the Pethonesty brand (advanced hip and joint), which have helped him very much in the 3 weeks he has been on them.
My precious dog who has arthritis pain liked the taste of these, but over the past few months I’ve seen no improvements in his relief from his pain. He is now taking meds from our vet and is doing much better. I used this because I thought it would be healthier for him, but I don’t want him to live the rest of his life in pain. So I’ve had to make this decision for his benefit.
We had been using this product for about three months with no issues. We didn't notice a difference in the dogs joint health (both over age 10). Suddenly when we opened a fresh canister and started giving it to them one day they both began to throw up shortly after. They were sick for almost a full week, throwing up. The vomit smell got everywhere in the house even though we did our best to clean their mouths and carpets. We suspect it was a bad batch and is typical of poor quality control. We stopped buying them and they have been doing great.
I cannot write a review with all honesty, as the product dose not seem to be doing any good. Our dog is about 13, and has hip a2aa0p? problems. She is a border collie/malamute. She is over weight and the fact that she cannot run like she used to makes it difficult for weight loss. We had her on cosequin and it seemed to work better than this product. Your product is a little cheaper so that is why we decided to give it a try. We give her four a day. We rescued Murphy from our local shelter just about the time they were going to put her down. She is a wonderful dog and we don't want to see her in pain. Maybe we will go back to the cosequin. Thank you for your concern.
