This TiVo seems to be a little buggy in maintaining and HDMI signal, After reading stories on the Internet it's apparently a common problem with the TiVo. I have to unplug the HDMI cable from the back of the TiVo and plug it back in and order to get a signal after it's been sitting for awhile.
Update: ordered a Roamio composite cable as an option for when the HDMI goes out, and apparently that port isn't working at all (no signal). So lowering my review to 2 stars because both ways to distribute the audio/video are bonkers.
We got rid of cable and bought an antenna and TiVo Roamio. Love both products. Not sorry we canceled cable. We figure in 3 months it will pay for itself. We have a guide just like a our DVR, records up to 4 shows, has voice activated remote, stores up to 150 hours of programs.
It looks good, sounds great but this thing didn’t work. I called customer service twice and they were like knots on a log. They were no help in getting this to work, although it was not their fault, the machine was defective. No stars would be better then one.
I like the lifetime subscription and recording 4-chanels, two weeks in advance. The Chanel menu is easy to use and customize with favorite channels. I love the skip and voice features on the remote control. I don't like the slow response when using apps and the control features are different from what they are with OTA. That takes some getting used to. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.
