Oh boy, I've been waiting for this book, couldn't been happier to read story of Mia and Austin. The way they meet, learn about each other. I loved this story from the first to last page. It's amazing, storyline is absolutely wonderful.
I'm always excited to go back to Mongolia Sound. I was even more excited to get Mia's story after hearing a little about her in the last book. It was super fun to see Samantha write about a writer and include some of Mia's fictional story in the book. I totally loved that. Loved to chemistry between Austin and Mia. I truly just feel in love with this story and Austin and Mia. What a wonderful book. Can't wait for the next Mongolia Sound book.
This is such a great story! I felt like it gave me an insight to writing a book, which has always fascinated me. The characters are absolutely perfect in a everyday life way. And it was placed in North Carolina, near my home on the coast. The way the coast was written about is how I feel about living at the beach. This book is a winner.
This book was as good as the first and in some ways better. I love how each book in the series has added a new character and still had pieces of the older books without repeat more than was needed. Great job as always MS Chase, keep up the great work. I hope there is book 8 & 9 in this series, so we can see how the prior characters grow.
5 AMAZING STARS!! Amazing is all I can say. This series has been amazing, but this is my favorite book of them all. As always this author takes us on a journey you will never forget....her characters are so memorable and become family as you are reading. You must read this book and series....it is phenomenal.
Loved Austin and Mia’s story so much. Both trying to break out from their upbringing. I enjoyed their banter and discovering how to find their HEA. Really love this series and Samantha’s great writing.💕
I highly recommend Samantha Chase’s The Way the Story Goes! I was engaged in Mia and Austin’s story from start to finish. Thriller writer Mia Kingsley has a bad case of writer’s block. She’s escaped to a beach house to finish her novel. Her deadline is looming and the loud construction work going on next store was adding to her stress level. Her coping strategy? She started a new book titled Deadly Renovation—starring her loud next door neighbor! I loved this plot device as it kicked up the storyline a level, showcased Mia’s creativity and added a fun twist to the plot. Loved Mia and Austin Coleman’s first meeting—he throws a sink off the deck and narrowly misses clobbering Mia. Loved the fun, flirty back and forth banter between the couple as they navigate a work truce, friendship and romance. Mia is beautiful, desirable, intelligent and an introvert. Family situations, and confrontations are not her forte. On the other hand, Austin is at ease with family parties and can hold his own in quarrelsome situations. Austin is a successful architect who has trouble believing in himself and acknowledging his successful career. Samantha Chase is an incredible storyteller. Her characters leap off the page and into your heart. I really wanted this couple to believe in themselves and in their love story. I could relate to their situation and was pulling for their HEA. If you are looking for a novel with all the feels—pick up The Way the Story Goes! It’s a fabulous character driven novel filled with flirty banter, memorable characters and a sizzling romance which will warm your heart!
I received an ARC of this novel-all thoughts are my own.
Austin and Mia had so much chemistry, but they also had issues that they had to deal with. Not issues with each other, but themselves. Austin has always felt like he was treated as the underdog and treated horribly by the small town he grew up in. Mia was always given everything she could ever want, but as an only child, never felt like she could disappoint her parents. She is a writer with some serious writer's block and he is trying to find himself after losing his job. She is frustrated because he is making a lot of noise and she can't focus. When they meet, because he throws something out the window and almost hurts her, they are immediately attracted to one another. He thinks she is beautiful but uptight and she thinks he is gorgeous but rude. As they get to know one another, they realize that their initial impression was wrong. As they spend more time together, they grow closer, but his insecurities and her upbringing add obstacles that just might tear them apart. They are so cute together and I love how he helps her, even though he doesn't think he should interfere. I also loved how other characters from previous books gave each of them some much needed advice. I absolutely loved this wonderful story (and the extra book Mia wrote). I highly recommend this series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
