Decent and concise overview of the law. However, there are grammatical errors throughout some of which make the outline misleading. For example lets take the section discussing supplemental jurisdiction. The book lists 4 factors for when a "federal district court has discretion to exercise supplemental jurisdiction." However if you look at 28 U.S. Code § 1367 - those factors relate to when "The district courts may decline to exercise supplemental jurisdiction..." Factor 4 makes that clear - "In exceptional circumstances, there are other compelling reasons for declining jurisdiction."
Grammatical errors???really??? Were they in such a rush that they didn't have time to edit the book? Having said that, besides some of the sentences reading like someone that rarely uses English as a third language wrote them, I do like the fact that the book is laid out in quick facts. Just fact, next fact (sometimes repeat the fact a few times), then another fact. I like the book but it is frustrating when it is not even edited. Ahh, welcome to the age of the quick and easy e-book I guess.
