This is my new favorite bottled Starbucks drink. For many years I drank the Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino. Then, I switched to the Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino. Then I tried their new, fancier bottled flavors and this Caramel Macchiato Latte. All are good. But when I cut down on sugar intake and consumption of sweets, the frappuccinos seemed too sweet. This Caramel Macchiato is perfect because it's less sweet than the frappuccinos. It's also not as thick, which doesn't bother me. If you prefer thicker and sweeter, the frappuccinos are the way to go. To me, the coffee flavor comes through noticeably better in this latte. Any and all of them are best, in my opinion, when chilled to a very cold temperature.
The only suggestion for improvement that I would give Starbucks is to make this drink available in a glass bottle. In glass, there is no scent or flavor of plastic (real or imagined) to affect the enjoyment of the beverage.
I don't know if ratings for "Warmth" and "Thickness" will show up on the review. Neither is really applicable and I didn't give either of them any stars, hoping they're not rated at all and won't be displayed. The drink is best chilled to a very cold temperature (in my opinion). And I believe that it is not intended to be as thick as the frappuccinos - it's so flavorful and good that I don't miss the thickness. They're delicious, and I put them on regular delivery.
If you want great coffee and caramel flavor, and less sweetness than the frappuccinos, this is the way to go.
