Whoa, way sorry I bought this one. Trailer fooled me. Bad story, bad writing, bad acting and even bad action scenes. Not that they didn't do what a budget like that allowed for, but they didn't do it like I expected from a Jamie Foxx film. I lost interest many times, but at least some of my mind kept me watching...the part of my mind that wants its money's worth. Sigh. Five star everything expected and it just comes off as a cheaply done production. Again, though, not that some of the parts were not worthy, but that the stupid parts were as stupid as a typical zombie film's parts can be stupid. Meanwhile, sure nice to see so many familiar faces....NOT.....distracting to me so much that I was naming the films I'd seen half the actors in previously.
Not worth even the rental price. And I really like Jamie Foxx.
And as long as I'm at it, may I ask writers of action films to maybe just maybe ONCE could you have folks acting really hurt when by all rights the blow or knife wound or two story drop or bullet wound or the tenth fist and kick fight of the day. No one can take a bullet in real life like any of these characters did. I'm miffed.
A movie so bad that you have to see it. The script wasn't well thought out and Jamie Foxx's acting was horrible. For some reason, when it's all over they want to keep open the possibility of a sequel.
Millions in drugs in a locker and they want you to believe that one of the two cops involved would leave it to his partner to bring it in.
It's 2016 and they don't have facial recognition software in a major casino. One goon chases Jamie Foxx and his kid for a significant period of time... Eventually, there's a whole gang chasing them but that's how the chase starts. A shootout and cops don't lock down the whole casino and hotel?

Utterly awful in every way. Every actor in this movie deserved much better. So did every person who ever rented it.
Remember in "The Office" when they discovered Michael Scott's secret movie script about Agent Michael Scarn, and they tried to act it out? This movie is just one level above that.
I know your thought process. You're thinking, I've seen every action movie that Prime is showing me right now, and I'm in the mood for action. How bad can it be, when it's free?
Hear me now and believe me later: This movie is a bad deal, even for free. Take your time and do something constructive. Organize your sock drawer in shades of gray, from light to dark. Call your mom and apologize for breaking her favorite coffee mug and blaming it on the dog back in eighth grade. Write a supportive comment on each of Kim Kardashian's 2013 bikini posts on Instagram. Only PLEASE do not hit "play" on this movie. Take it from a complete stranger: you will regret it.

If you're expecting the next cult classic action flick like John Wick, look elsewhere. If you're one of those people that can't watch a movie without critiquing impossible or improbable parts of the plot, look elsewhere. If you are in the mood for a decent (albeit predictable) action flick with the usual Hollywood formula, you could do a lot worse.
My main problem with the movie, FWIW, were the characters. None of the "good guys" were particularly likable, and none of the "bad guys" were particularly scary. In an effort to give the protagonists a deep backstory they ended up just making them all look kind of like jerks who you didn't really care about. Meanwhile, they kind of forgot the backstory for the bad guys. They just got thrown in halfway through without much buildup and you're supposed to be scared of them b/c they walk around with dudes with guns.
I'm not mad I watched it but I'm not going to run out and recommend it to anyone. 3/5
Yes it was predictable at times and we all know the reality of some of the plot isn't possible, but still this was fun and entertaining. This wasn't a waste of my time because I know what I am getting myself into when I push the play button. So if you want a good action packed movie with lots of twists, this works out just fine.
A decent "popcorn" flick. Don't go in with terribly high expectations and you (shouldn't be) disappointed. It's an entertaining enough way to spend a couple hours just don't try to analyze anything too much, this is just some meant for some action-y fun. Truth be told I just watched it to get my David Harbour fix between seasons of Stranger Things and this did the trick. Michelle Monaghan did a pretty great job, I'm always a fan of her work and I loved her character's "don't treat me like a girl" attitude in this movie. Jamie Foxx was solid, as always. It wasn't the best script/plot/etc. but hey, they worked with what they had and like I said, it wasn't a total waste of time. As for the physical product, came on-time as promised and in perfect condition. No complaints.
So Lala...
