I ordered this umbrella in June 2018. Within 3-4 uses, the tips at the end of the ribs started breaking off. I noticed they were soldered together very poorly. I used tape to hold the ends together. After several more uses, the umbrella stopped opening completely. Half the umbrella would open while the other half jammed up. Now, one of the joints between the stretcher and the rib has broken and poked through the underside of the umbrella. This turned out to be a costly piece of junk. After 4 months of occasional use, it is useless. If I could still return it, I would.

I was using it for a sun shade at work for taking people outside in the sunshine to look at granite slabs stored outside. No wind, no rain, and it broke after 5-6 uses. The handle pulled right out of the umbrella.

I have seen this inverted umbrella before and finally purchased it after months of considering it since it's not as cheap as regular umbrella. Now, I'm glad I bought it. It keeps me relatively dryer compared to conventional umbrella when getting into my car. and walking my dog. The inverted design is great for getting into the car and the handle is great for walking my dog while trying to hold on to the umbrella. The only reason for 4 stars is the mechanism to open and close the umbrella isn't very secure. I have some difficult time pulling the umbrella close because the locking mechanism is loose and the umbrella won't stay close without putting some effort into it.

Even in high wind, this umbrella doesn't do that annoying inverting thing. I get compliments on the look of it every time I use it, and people are fascinated by how it opens. The umbrella keeps me dry when it's vertical rain, so paired with a raincoat, and a pair of galoshes, I can get to work nice and dry. When it's that horizontal rain nonsense, I have to sort of angle the umbrella just so, but my backpack and headphones are safe from the wet regardless, which is my main concern. The wrist holder thingy works well too. I never got stuck in it, and it's convenient. I can even hang the umbrella on the straps on my backpack, or off the edge of my pockets on my pants. It is big though, so it doesn't fit in my backpack, but if I have to pay that price of admission for how dry it keeps me, I'm willing to deal with that.

I love this reverse folding umbrella. It stays dry on the underneath side, easy to open, and you can lay it down after coming in from the rain and not get anything wet. I've tried other similar umbrellas but they were too heavy. I don't know how it will hold up on a windy day though. I wish they had more bright colors on the outside of the umbrella. Seems like manufacturers put the color on the inside, but I prefer to be visible in the rain.

I just love the patterns on these umbrellas. I also love the concept of it being reversible, the c-shaped handle and the fact that it will stand on it's own to dry. I've only had the opportunity to use it a couple of times and so far so good. I don't like that the "shaft" is plastic. I'm a little concerned about how it will perform in a high wind. I bought several for Christmas gifts and all of the patterns were pretty. I like that some have a pattern underneath and a solid color on the top.

I first saw this umbrella last year on a shopping channel but didn't buy it because I had a good umbrella. Well my good umbrella broke so I decided to give th he inverted umbrella a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the lace cutout design on top of the umbrella. It opened smoothly and it can't pinch my fingers like the older umbrellas used to. It closed nicely as I got into my car and no water dripped on me while closing it. I plan on getting another one so I can keep 1 in the car and 1 in my house.

I like this umbrella I like to buy more but I like the colors on the outside not just black but different bright colors I’m looking but I love the umbrellas thank you very much

I like the vented design to accommodate wind gusts, although I have not, as yet, been in terrific wind since purchasing.
I don't like the handle; it needs a wider opening on the handle and a strap; it's hard to find a place to hang this when not in use. Also I'm not sure how long the ribs will last, if put in an umbrella urn or left standing ribs down. Also not sure how it can dry thoroughly if closed.

i bought the sharpty umbrella for my mother. the umbrella has a lot of design novelties that she's not used to.
she's beginning to like it and keeps in her car. i like the handle and i like the special way the sharpty umbrella opens.
the umbrella comes with a sleeve to keep it clean. putting sleeve back on the umbrella is not intuitive but we have figured it out. also the strap that holds the sharpty umbrella closed hangs on the inside and seemed very long and distracting to mom; nevertheless this hanging strap can be doubled over on its velcro and its fine. every woman should have an umbrella like this.

I was very excited about getting a reverse umbrella, but am extremely disappointed in it. When you go to put it up, it does not catch and hold on the first try. I have to try several times before it stays up. For the amount of money I paid, it should work on the first try. I thought Sharpty was suppose to be one of the best in the market.
