I love these they don't leak! We made the switch form Pampers (because they test on animals) and I was having a rough time finding one's he can use through the night without waking in puddles. These are great! And the fit is fantastic true to size. With Pampers a 6 fit just right in the waist but big everywhere else he's only 30lbs. With this it looks like I can step down a size to the 5s and still have plenty of room for my toddler to not be squished into it.

Didn't hold up for the 12 hour nightshift

These just did not hold up for overnight use for us. Tried upsizing, positioning (we have boys), and nothing seemed to help. Both my guys woke up wet. We used to use Honest Overnights, but my toddler started waking up wet when Honest changed their product, so decided to try these. Didn't cut it either. Bought Up and Up overnights in a size up, and that has done the trick! Also been using Cloud Island and are having success with those as well, even without upsizing. So I'll be sticking with Cloud Island most likely since I prefer a more natural diaper, and they have the super stretchy tabs that I like so much about Seventh Generation. They're also softer/cuter in my opinion. And I love the trifold since it makes them easier to pack/organize, and provides a better fit. I guess I need to write a great review for Cloud Island now haha.

This was my first time using seventh generation. I bought because I heard they’re good. And I got overnight diapers for extra absorbency. I noticed the first pack I opened some felt a little different. About every other diaper has a harder area in the crotch, whereas the others are soft.
We woke up to his diaper exploded from the front top seam and this jelly stuff all over his stomach.
Not something you want to see all over your baby.

The good! The diaper is all natural & hypoallergenic. That's great if your baby is sensitive. The Bad. This diaper holds less liquid than any other diaper. It's definitely not for night-time unless you plan to get up once, maybe twice depending on the night & the baby. The back of the diaper, (we're 15mo. size 4 @23lb. 30in. tall) is very narrow and doesn't offer full coverage of the rear end. We had liquid & solid/semi-solid leaks. The Ugly! Little tiny beads of absorbant gel swell like swollen Chia seeds (feel & texture). Our 1st night was actually quite schocking. The gel was all the way down into the feet of the pajama bottoms. It looked like babys feet were swollen. It seems to have leaked out around the bottom of the leg holes. It's either sewn or glued poorly. There's string hanging from the diaper but you think if one goes through the trouble of sewing a paper product, you would use better thread, something that would hold the filled contents of a diaper. It does put one's mind at ease to know that the filling is "non-toxic". It's sticky and it gets everywhere though. We ordered a case and have one of four bags left over. We've since switched to another brand rather than risk explosion. But note to the manufacturer:, don't feel too bad, even the expensive Huggies Supreme snug & dry have exploding gel in them. The only thing to do now is quickly potty train & don't have anymore kids, lol! (yeah right!).

Hardened absorbent material inside the overnight diaper

I've used Seventh Generation's overnight diapers on all my children for the last seven years and I've been very satisfied with their quality. However, for the first time, I am returning their diapers. A majority of the overnight diapers size 4 (96 counts) that I purchased in October 2020 from Amazon have hard pieces of material. I looked up into Seventh Generation's website to know more about this hard pieces, which locate in random places in each diaper. I found a similar comment in their website and the Seventh Generation responded "This sounds like the absorbent material inside the diaper possibly hardened, which is an indicator it was exposed to moisture or is old." I think this is exactly what happened to the diapers I purchased. I still like Seventh Generation diapers for our children but I had another issue with their regular diapers recently, I am sad if their general quality is getting bad.

Diapers leak all the time!

These are the worst diapers we used on our baby! They leaked every single night. If I changed the baby into another "overnight" diaper when he woke up wet in the middle of the night, by the morning he was wet again.

No matter how tight or how high or low on the waist I put the diaper, it leaks. As other reviewers pointed, these diapers run small. We use Seventh Generation regular free and clear diapers size 4 on our 24 lbs baby, and they fit perfectly and still have room to grow. These overnight diapers size 4 I can barely put on the baby, and this, plus a poor design of the diaper straps, cause the leaks.

Like it is not enough, these diapers stink when wet!

Too bad that being a happy user of regular Seventh Generation free and clear diapers, and other SG products, I had high expectations for this product and bought a 4x24 pack. Now I will be asking Amazon customer service if I can return unopened packs.

Complaints of itchy skin

I used these overnight diapers until my little one was 25 months old. The only reason I stopped is because he would complain of his skin being itchy. It got to the point to where he'd ask me to change his diaper and he'd get anxious if I had the overnight diaper in my hand. He'd point to his daytime seventh generation diapers instead.

I couldn't figure out which ingredient was irritating his skin but he wasn't happy. I feel bad that it took me this long to listen to my kid but nevertheless we figured it's best to remove this from his regimen.

Before ordering this 4 pack, I did a test run with a single pack which I ordered directly from Seventh Gen. Yes, the diapers are beige and a little stiffer than the big brand standard diapers, but anyone who has used Seventh Generation diapers before are used to that. The tabs on these diapers are no different than the Seventh Generation diapers. We haven't problems with the tabs coming undone on their own. These overnight diapers definitely have more padding than the regular Seventh Generation diapers. I have a little boy, and he's been waking up wet at night with the Earth's Best diapers. I've been reading reviews about overnight diapers, and to be honest, no diaper is perfect. Between the chemical burn/sensitivity issues with DryMax and the gel deposits from other diapers, I stayed away from the other brands. I was so glad one of the more eco/baby-friendly brands developed an overnight. So, how did they perform? Out of the 24 nights we used these diapers, our son only woke up wet through his pajamas twice. Mind you, those times happened on nights we gave him water in the middle of the night for his cough. He is 24 lbs 6 oz and has been wearing size 3 diapers, but these stage 4 diapers were fine. We are very pleased with these diapers, and after our trial run, I've gone ahead and set up a subscription for these diapers.

These diapers are terrible

WARNING-not for overnight use! I’ve accidentally put daytime diapers on the kid before putting to bed and those have held up better than some of these! I’ve used 12 of these so-called overnights so far and out of that 12, 5 have leaked through. Out of those 5, 3 have exploded and left the little bead gels EVERYWHERE. It’s such a pain in the butt to clean up-you never get them all! I bought the 96 count and I don’t even want to finish this pack! What am I supposed to do with the other 3 packs? Useless! What a waste!

FINALLY A BETTER NIGHT SLEEP!

My son is an exclusively breastfed baby who tends to want to eat throughout the night. We co-sleep and his frequenting nursing at night in and of itself isn't a problem to my sleeping well, but having to actually get up throughout the night to change his diaper was.

Once this package came in the mail and we tried it for the first night, my days as a new mom struggling to keep her sanity finally subsided and I felt like my old self again. I am not ALWAYS tired anymore and I feel refreshed and awake, ready for my day, come morning time. It makes SUCH a big difference not having to get out of bed multiple times during the night to go change my son's diaper (which of course inevitably wakes him ALL the way up. So now we have a wide awake baby at 2am and/or 4am while I feel like I can barely lift him back off the diaper changing table because I am sooooo darn tired!)

Now I no longer worry because he is not going to have any leaks and we can all have a peaceful night sleep. Thank you so so so much seventh generation! Nothing like feeling like my old self again ;)

These diapers leak. We have to change my son during the night or else he wakes up in a puddle of pee! He only sleeps for 9 hours and doesn’t drink any milk after bedtime. We’ve had better luck with Huggies overnight diapers.

My little linebacker is no longer leaking at night!

Until recently (right around his second birthday, actually), my son went to sleep in regular Seventh Generation diapers, and nighttime leaks happened only about twice a week at the most. However, once it escalated to an every-night problem, we finally threw up our arms and started looking around for something that would allow us a full night's sleep. And the act of forbidding bedtime beverages didn't seem like a viable solution.

As a temporary quick-fix, we picked up some Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Jumbo Pack, Size 6, 23 Count , as our local stores do not yet stock Seventh Generation Overnights. Maybe Pampers run large-- we chose the size according to his weight, but they fit very high on our son's hip, so leaks still happened. Or perhaps these diapers weren't intended for overnight protection-- if so, then the sleeping cartoon baby had me duped. Regardless, I'm not reviewing Pampers, I only want to offer a basis for comparison.

These Seventh Generation diapers fit much better on my son. We have found that a snug, high-up fastening has worked best for him in general, and these diapers have allowed just the right amount of leg room. In fact, they have worked so well for our little guy that I'm astonished that there are any negative reviews. Maybe this is not a one-size-fits-all solution? All babies/toddlers are shaped a bit differently-- as I mentioned earlier, the Pampers fit WAY too high on his hip. My son is a stocky kid-- not fat, but he weighs 36 pounds at 36 inches tall, and despite being barely two, he's in 4T clothes (there is no end to unsolicited speculation about his future as a football player). He's also a thirsty guy. Ever see those commercials where they use a water balloon to demonstrate a diaper's effectiveness? That's a fairly accurate representation of his nighttime situation. Leading up to the switch, if there wasn't a leak in the morning, the diaper was always fully saturated to the point that one more "deposit" would do it.

These diapers are bit enigmatic in terms of pliability. They can seem quite stiff from the outside, but remain soft and pliable on the inside. Perhaps this is a design feature to prevent front-top leaks, as it seems to keep the diaper from laying directly against genitalia and forcing it in one direction or another. At first, this stiffness led me to believe that my son had already filled his diaper, though when I changed him, I found that the opposite was true, and he had urinated maybe once, if that. Once I got used to the outer stiffness creating a tenting effect, though, I found that these diapers were just what we needed to solve our nighttime woes. It's been a week or two since we started using these diapers, and there have been no leaks so far. I couldn't be happier.

In the end I can only vouch for my personal experience. My heart goes out to parents who've tried this diaper without any luck. However, if you've got yourself a leaky little linebacker, these just might be the diapers to try.
