What's with all the Hype?

I just finished consuming my 4th Blueberry Red Bull (interspersed over several weeks) and can honestly say that its nothing more than over priced soda! Red Bulls marketing division has flooded the television with their ubiquitous albeit offensively irritating slogan: "Red Bull Gives You Wiiiings". God! is that annoying! And it is also deceiving. It implies that indulging a Red Bull will give the consumer energy and focus; not unlike a coffee rush, but more convenient. Nuh-Uh! The 80 mgs in the small 8.4 fluid oz. can would seem like a decent jolt of caffeine, but I felt little in the way of a "buzz"! I get more alert from any type of hot coffee from McDonalds at a fraction of the cost. The two saving values I did find with Red Bull 'Blue Edition' are the blueberry flavor (very tasty) and the added B vitamins (B12, B6, Niacin and Pantothenic Acid) which made me feel slightly less worried about the 29 grams of sugar per can. I'm going back to coffee which from last I heard was once again believed to have healthy benefits plus a better 'Buzz'1
