Great product from the Rag Company.

Let me start by saying that this company is top notch. I had an issue with an item and it was addressed relatively quick. In my field time is money and any defects can cause more issues than help. These are of high quality. No stupid tags to rip off. They seem to be of a high quality build that we all expect out of a Korean weave. I have no negative so far.
If this fails for any reason in the near future I will be sure to update my rating. I have not been paid nor do I work for the company that sells or manufacturers this product. I take pride in my reviews and understand that many people use these reviews in making their buying decision.

Not plush at all.

I was hopeful when receiving this towel out of package because it had a really soft feel and seemed high quality, but it did not work well in action to dry a car. The waffle weave is very flat, not plush at all, and it immediately filled with water after only one panel, and became a sopping wet mess that only pushed water around from there on. I had to pull out a generic Chemical Guys / Viking type microfiber to finish the job. I think this type of towel is better suited for buffing than for drying. The "waffle" seems more cosmetic than functional.

Perfect for streak free windows

Fabulous for windows. Almost zero linting, easy to wash and dry, and my "go-to" cloths for windows. With that said, as a professional detailer AutoFetishDetail.com, I have about 5 different methods of doing windows as the weather, humidity, temperature, etc., will all play a factor in trying to get windows perfect. These cloths are as close to a sure thing as it gets.

So everywhere you read about The Rag Company towels, everyone says how good they are. Maybe I received a faulty one. It feels really good, and drys well, especially with a drying aide (I use Meguiar’s quick detailer). The issue is that some of the threading is already coming apart. After one use. Will try the different towels they carry and see if I have better luck.

Great drying towel

This is one big towel, as you can see, it covers nearly half of my bed.

It is capable of drying 2 cars.
It washes very well in the washing machine, and after a few uses, still looks great.
The only down side is it has a tendency to pull threads when wiping around panel gaps, so watch out for that.

The best application of this towel is on glass, as it leaves it dry and streak free.

Worth every penny I paid for it.

I've used these towels three times now to dry my car after a wash. I love them. They are very absorbent and easier on the surface than chamois cloths. I'm very particular about my car's finish and appearance. It isn't a show car, but I clay-barred it, polished the surface, and Opt-coated it. So when I hand wash and dry I want materials that work without risking scratches in the surface. And these towels do the job at a terrific price.

These towels work very well. I found that washing them before first use removes the color bleeding of the towels that will streak if not washed first. I wet my towel before I use it to dry my truck, and it absorbs much better. Drying my full size SUV I only have to wring out the towel one time. Towels are soft, and do not scratch or streak. I have a black SUV and they dry and polish perfectly. You won't be disappointed with these towels.

I can dry a whole car with one of these, no ringing, no nothing. I'd love to see what would happen if I got a buddy to hold the other side of it and use it as a single layer. As it is, folding it half makes it the right size for one person to use.

I know contact drying isn't for everyone, but this thing does an amazing job

Absorbent Towel, but Not Enough to Dry Car

This product works great until you completely soak the towel. The dry sections of the towel hold a good bit of water, but not really enough to dry one section of a car. I ended up needing 3 or 4 (two packs) of these towels to dry a small-to-midsize sedan (i.e. a VW Jetta) that is regularly waxed and that was with me using a soaked towel to just push the water off the car to go back with a dry towel to finish up (I changed my strategy in the middle of drying the car). This product will leave streaking on the glass so you'll need to follow up the glass drying with some glass cleaning.

THIS IS OUR SECOND PURCHASE OF THESE TOWELS. WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL OTHERS, AND THEY JUST DON'T COMPARE. THESE ARE VERY SOFT AND VERY ABSORBENT. WE DRY OFF OUR VEHICLES AFTER THE WASH, AND THEY SHINE AND ARE DRY ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. WE CAN WRING THE TOWEL OUT, AND FINISH THE JOB IF THEY GET TOO WET. THESE ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST WE HAVE FOUND. Used both of them for my medium suv, no water marks or scratches, works really well. I still have an old “absorber” brand chamois and I use that over all the glass first. Then I use this to get a perfect finish on the glass and paint.

Good Drying Towels

These towels are much better than a Chamois from my experiences so far. They do a good job absorbing moisture and not leaving water spots on my vehicles.

One issue I have noticed, My Summer Toy (Corvette) which has a ceramic wax coating is harder to dry due to the water beading up.

I can use 1 towel to thoroughly dry my SUV bit need 2 towels to do the Vette. The towels get soaked and waterlogged very quickly on the Vette.

That said I plan to order more.
