I ordered this press because the price was significantly less than the cricut easy press and it also came with a teflon sheet and a mat. I even received free sheets of htv vinyl after I placed my order! The cricut easy press does not come with any extras. I have been wanting to purchase an easy press because I work out of 2 homes and I have a standard tabletop heat press and moving that thing around is becoming a real hassle. The press was easy to operate and worked great even with layering my vinyl. I do not see any problems with it as of right now and I'm so happy with my purchase!
I've been using an iron for the past 6 months, because I couldn't justify buying a press. I ordered myself one for my birthday and am totally kicking myself in the butt for not getting one sooner! This makes htv application SO MUCH EASIER.
I had been looking for a heat press for awhile. Since I do mainly t-shirts and small craft projects I didn’t need a full size commercial heat press. After reading the reviews I decided on this one. I’m so glad that I did. It heats evenly and quickly and the timer was a nice feature. My first project was Siser glitter heat transfer vinyl on a canvas tote bag. The result is beautiful, it looks professional. I set the temperature to 320 degrees and 20 seconds. Unlike my Iron, there was no need to do a second pass to get the vinyl to adhere to the surface. The heat press heats up quickly but the temperature dropped back down 4 degrees and then increased until it reached 320 degrees before it finally stabilized at that temperature. At this point I ironed the tote bag to remove creases before placing the decal on it. I do like the fact that manufacturer included a silicone pressing sheet and a thick heat proof pad with the heat press so there was no need to buy extra supplies.
I like most who purchased this didn’t see the value in spending the extra money for the Cricut version. So far it has worked fabulously. It will only get up to 390 degrees, which technically doesn’t work with the new Cricut Infusable Ink... I tried it the other day at 390 and had no problem with infusing to the product was using. Definitely a great choice so far over the more expensive Cricut. I love that it already comes with the mat and Teflon sheet (sold separate with Cricut).
