The seller contacted me, suggesting I try a different music device to solve the problem of previous skip (see review below). Lo and behold, my problem was solved! I therefore upgrade my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I still think it takes too long to skip to next song/previous song (you have to press the button for too long a time), so I'm giving it 4/5 stars. A note that the skip problem ONLY happens in Spotify (not the Google Play Music app), and only with this pair of earphones.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: These would be perfect if not for the design flaw which makes it nearly impossible to go to the last song. Color is gorgeous - a true rose gold. With the included earpad hooks, and when clipped onto clothes with the included clip, the earbuds won't budge from the ears, making them ideal for working out/exercising. I've done high knees, burpees, rock star and cannonball jumps, and these stay in my ears. The sound quality is good too, and it paired quickly with my phone. The buttons allow for play/pause (top button), power off (top button, long press), volume up (middle button), next song (middle button, long press), volume down (bottom button), and previous song (bottom button, long press). Unfortunately, no matter how long or how many times I press the "previous song" button, the earbuds will go to the beginning of the playing song--not the previous song. I've tried pressing this button multiple times with different pressing patterns, and simply get the same song playing from the beginning. I've even gotten a replacement from Amazon with the same problem, indicating it is a design flaw of the earbuds. Also, for the previous/next song, you have to press quite a long time - 3 full seconds (it's generally shorter in the other earbuds and headphones I've tried - 1.5 to 2 seconds). In general, I don't understand why earbuds/headphones have the short press as volume, long press as previous/next song (rather than the reverse) - I think people are far more likely to skip a song than change the volume!
I'm going to have to return these - if they fixed this flaw, I would definitely keep them.
So, the headset is okay. It's sad because I love this brand and I feel like there was a lack of quality within the headset. It is a very sturdy Bluetooth headset but the sound isn't as great as I know it could be with this brand. At the same time it's not horrible it's just not as good as I usually have from this brand. I've bought many of their Bluetooth headphones. This one is missing bass to it. Like it has to really be in your ear for you to really feel the bass. It's a great second choice but it's not my first. The headset does Get Loud but I just feel like it's empty because the bass is missing and I listen to a lot of music. Although, when it comes to watching a movie with this headset there great and fine there is no out of sync with the video issue going on. So, it's really up to you
First let me say i am extremely picky about headphones. Fit is important as i have small ears, noise isolation is important as i have severe anxiety and PTSD, and of course battery life as i leave them in all night. 1st, fit, while they fit nicely in my ears, they don’t stay in and the cord is quite heavy so the slightest movement they fall out. 2nd, sound is great and comparable to Apple; however, they lack in noise isolation for me. Decent and probably good for someone who doesnt suffer with the disorders i do but i would prefer a bit more. 3rd, battery life, ive had them a few days, they charge quickly but not getting 10 hrs continuous play. Max im getting is around 8 hrs which is still way better than alot but the battery life was a selling point for me so i am disappointed a bit. I have the 1st version and i can say the only thing they lack is the continuous playback of more than 4-5 hours. The sound is better as well as the noise isolation on the 1st version. They also stay in better than these. Overall, for an average user, it is a great purchase. All things said, i suggest to anyone looking for wireless or bluetooth headphones, don’t rely on customer reviews when choosing. Everyone has their own preferences. Buy the pair that sells to your preferred features and you usually wont end up disappointed. Ive bought pairs that had 5 stars and ended up hating them.
note that the vendor suggests wearing these earbuds for 1-2hours, then giving your ears a break.
without the silicone "earmuffs" (covers), the earbuds slipped out of my ears too easily. using the covers, the earbuds fit just too snugly for comfort, but they do not fall out.
i cannot wear the in-ear earbud style, and i've had a difficult time trying to find a wireless pair of earbuds in this style. the JVC wired earbuds have worked the best, but they're wired.
for most people, these earbuds with the silicone covers will work well. but they may fit too tightly for those with small ears.
the vendor did reach out to me when i wrote my initial review, and they offered to replace this set with another model they sell- unfortunately, that model was an in-ear type that i could not try. but, they did do their best to ensure i was satisfied with their products. 5-star service.
I like these headphones because it makes working out a lot easier when I don't have the cord hanging to my phone. The ear pieces don't fit great unless you use the ear muffs, which I didn't like at first, but now that I'm used to them they work great!
Sounds quality is actually pretty good. The base is very solid. The heavy weight in the middle of the wire is weird. Without using the provided clip, it would weight down the wire to the back and eventually pull on my ear. Looks like the clip is not an option when using for jogging. Comparing to other with a heavy volume control that would pull the buds off the ear. At least this one give a solution. The heavy weight turns out to be the battery, according to the vendor. That's why they were able to make the volume control lighter and smaller.
Excellent vendor support. They stand behind their product so well. Instant respond when I was having occasional music cutoff. Turns out it was my phone. After I rebooted the phone, it went well.
I really like the the magnetic feature it came with so it's around my neck and I don't have to worry about losing it. The sound quality is really good. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because the bluetooth is a bit spotty. I thought it was my device acting up, but after a while I figured out it was actually the earphones. Not sure if there's a specific way I'm supposed to wear it so as not to make the connection spotty. Would love to know if anyone else is having this problem, and have a solution for it.
Although the fit is still less than perfect for my smaller ears, I am changing my review a bit due to the fantastic customer service. The seller contacted me directly without me even reaching out. They were extremely helpful and helped me to finalize my return.
Although the color is gorgeous, these buds do not stay in my ears. So far I have only use them when I am lifting weights but even then they're constantly falling out. And when they do stay in for more than a minute, it causes some pain my ears. I had to switch to my corded earbuds in the middle of my workout because it became a nuisance.
The audio quality for the earphones are very good. The battery life also lasts a long time. It has been used for over 6 hours and it still says that the battery is high. One thing is that the mic is not very good. I ordered these and when they came in, it was very easy to set up and pair with many different devices. However, the mic didn't seem to pick up my voice and crashed a lot. It also crashes photobooth on MacOS when recording a video. I contacted customer service and they were very nice and quickly sent me a replacement. The mic still isn't the best quality, but it is workable and something you would expect at this price point. The issue with photobooth, however, still exists though it's fine since I don't use it.
All in all, customer service + audio quality + price point is good enough for me to offset a mediocre microphone.
I bought these because it has such great reviews, but these are honestly the most uncomfortable headphones I've ever worn. First, the pads that go over the ear piece were torn. Second, the ear piece itself are so big they dont fit in the ear. When you put them on, they fall right out (and it's not like I have particularly small ears or anything) which makes them useless. I've already toss the box so I cant even return it. Super disappointed.
UPDATE: The company reached out after reading the issues I had with the product and were kind enough to help me out! I've been in customer service my whole life and i can definitely appreciate great support when its given. Added 2 stars for caring about their customers.
