Amazon.com: Customer reviews: Phone Phever Board Game - Best New Fun Fast-Paced Family-Friendly Party Board Game - It's a Phonetastic Race to Answer Fascinating Trivia Questions & Complete Hilarious Challenges!
We got this for our teen for Christmas and he opened it at our Christmas Eve dinner/party to play with the teen daughters of our close family friends. They had so much fun that they talked us adults into playing as well. We all had a great time (maybe I'm a bit biased, because I won!). They all enjoyed it so much that I was glad I had bought two -- one to give the girls as a christmas surprise the next day. While at their house on Christmas Day the kids (along with other kids who were there) played it again and had just as much fun.
It's a fast-paced game, with a high energy, and I felt we were all on the same playing field ... the teens were sometimes quicker with their fingers but there were questions the adults knew without having to look them up. There's a good mixes of challenge types and question types and all around it was one of the best christmas gifts that got given this year. Highly recommend for all ages.
I bought this game for my college student daughter for Christmas. We played it several times with various family members while she was home and had a blast!! It’s a board game and you advance through the game by correctly answering questions similar to Trivial Pursuit except you can use your phone to research the answers. Some of the activities are just wacky things on your phone that aren’t trivia related. It’s lots of fun! The millenials are really quick on their phones, so they have a distinct advantage over their elders for sure. Highly recommend!
Fun game! We had 12 people playing at one point - 6 teams of 2. Players were aged 17 to 75 and all were able to play and enjoy the game. Questions were really good. It didn't seem to matter whether you had a newer phone, it was how you looked up the question. Everyone had an equal chance to answer the question. We will definitely play this game again!
Got this for my 12 year old granddaughter for her birthday. We played it as a group and had lots of fun. My granddaughter loves to play it with her friends and just loves it. I am impressed that there is no bad words or sexual inferences. It's just lots of fun and laughter. A game that uses electronics and has lots of face to face interaction.
I bought "Phone Phever as a family Christmas present. My grandsons are on their phones all the time and my thought was that it would be better to join them than to fuss about the screen time. We played the game with 3 generations and they are amazed that we adults knew some answers without consulting Google. The boys, ages 13 and 15, took the game home with them after Christmas. I am thinking of buying another game for our vacation house. It is a winner!
My cousin, sister and I played this game. At first, we did not like the game, it seemed confusing at first and we lost interest within the first ten minutes, the problem was we didn't understand the concept of it. After 15min, that's when it became really fun. We played throughout the night, it was a blast. I don't understand how people say they have there grandkids or nieces and nephews playing, because our kids (ages 9,7 and 6) did NOT like it as it requires allot of researching. I highly recommend this game, with that being said, have patience for the first few minutes as you start to understand the concept of the game.
Played it as a family and we all loved it--age range 43 to 12. Our 12 year old had some challenges with reading the cards out loud or know what to look for, but once he got the hang of it he had fun. We spent 30 minutes looking for the name of the Secret Service agent who was on his cell when the guy hopped the fence to the white house because our 12 year old didn't read/pay attention! FYI.. you will never find the name of any Secret Service personnel, except the director level... the answer was actually secret service.. we are so competitve that none of us would give up on trying to find it!
We bought this for our family Christmas get-to-gether and the whole family enjoyed playing and participating in this game. A good time for older ones to explain some of the old and younger ones surprising the older ones with their knowledge and phone skills. We recommend for all families who play games to add this one to your game pile.
