If you are getting this game for a kid, be aware that they will be brainwashed with ads every 3-5 minutes. For a FREE game, it's understandable but still way too much advertising. Highly disappointed. The game is actually really very nice, but I was not ready to buy it as I downloaded it for my 6 year old (who btw loved it, but started complaining too about all these ads). Clearly more for grownups than for kids.
Periodically, our child manages to enable new app installation access on his Kindle. Every single time he's installed a "Talking Tom" related app, it's been a disaster. I can accept that he might enjoy the somewhat creepy animation, and tentatively believe that the developer is no longer using invasive and borderline unethical techniques to skim data from his device. But this app, like every single other one by this developer that I've seen, seems expressly designed to get him to click on things that trigger real-money purchases. This design inevitably leads to a constant stream of calls from my child to help him restore gameplay when the screen gets stuck on some kind of parental approval mechanism. For this particular app, they cycle of get-stuck, cry-for-help, dismiss-parental-alert started less than ten minutes after installation. Amazon desperately needs a "block this developer" feature for exactly this kind of situation. All of these Talking Tom apps are obnoxious and a disaster. I will continue to uninstall this garbage the instant I discover my child has managed to get around the parental controls and install any Talking Tom app.
Don't waste your time. unless you're willing to drop serious money on access and extra's it's not worth it. There are so many ads it's impossible to enjoy.
