Received the soundtrack cd and haven't stop listening to it all day! The music is a perfect blend of highs and lows, following the sequence of the screenplay. Going to spend a lot of time enjoying this treasure! Just ordered another copy for a birthday gift. Award winning stuff here! Love it!

Why would they want to insert all the dialogue, some of it that's unintelligible, from the movie? I've never seen the movie, and the dialogue certainly detracts from the enjoyment of the music.

Best soundtrack of 2018, and possibly of all time

The ONLY possible reason you’d think this soundtrack is bad is because you have some ignorant negative bias/dislike of Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, or the A Star Is Born films. The writing, vocals, instrumentals, and production of this MOVIE SOUNDTRACK are better than most musicians regular albums. If you’re wanting to know all the standout songs ALL of the Lady Gaga Solos are phenomenal but as far as sales go, Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright?, and the heartbreaking finale I’ll Never Love Again are the songs you’ll fall in love with. (As I’ve bought all versions of the album this review has been copy and pasted for each version, no matter where or how you listen to it CD, Vinyl, Digital this soundtrack is truly beautiful)

If you haven't watched the movie (I haven't) then you be dying to after you listen to this cd. It is electrifyingly modern without craziness. It is moving without pathos. From the Intro to the last song (which is my favourite), 'I'll Never Love Again', you'll hit replay - again and again.

I've never been a big fan of Lady Gaga, however this soundtrack changed ALL THAT! Her vocal range is unbelievable, sound quality phenomenal! I was really surprised how good Bradly Cooper sounds also, he put a lot of work on his voice and was praised by Gaga and others for actually becoming a musician through the whole process. Of course Shallow is wonderful, but the song that struck me the most is the 1st version of Never Love Again, where Ally's voice cuts off and your hear the sweetest rendition of Jack singing acapella... I realized that the song was written by Jack to Ally, not the other way around... grab the Kleenex... Great album all the way around and definitely a fabulous surprise!

The story and music are touching and beautifully sung. I know Lady Gaga has a voice and her portrayal was right on. Bradley Cooper can really sing and did so well with Lady Gaga. After the movie is long gone, you will still play this music and it will bring you right back into the story. I got the CLEAN CD. not the explicit CD.

LOVED the movie, so of course I bought the CD. Love their voices and the song writing is excellent. Who knew Bradley could sing?! Love the country in him. BUT, including the chatter from movie clips on the CD was SUCH a bad idea! WHAT were they thinking?! ANNOYING!! I will have to play it in the car and keep fast forwarding. I suppose I could have purchased songs without the chatter in iTunes. Or burn it and fix it? Oh, well. Also, there is a "clean" version.

Better than I could have hoped

I haven't seen the movie but I know the basics of the story. Fabulous lyrics and outstanding performance by Lady Gaga.
All I had to hear was a very small portion of a song on TV when the movie was being advertised and I knew I had to have the soundtrack. I've listened to it over and over and tears have been shed. Best CD I've listened to in a long time.

The soundtrack is alright. I don't like every song, and in retrospect I should have just cherry-picked and bought the songs individually. I'll add some to a playlist and burn the playlist, because--as anyone with a brain knows--who would want to listen to snippets of dialogue in between songs? Who's bright idea was that? Whoever it was should be fired. Skipping a song here or there isn't a big deal--I never like every single song on a cd anyway--but skipping literally half the cd or more doesn't make for an enjoyable experience. I'll burn my own cd and hopefully offload this irritation onto someone else.
