If you are in a small town or in an area where FM frequencies aren't so intrusive (ex: there aren't a lot of radio stations where you're at), then this product is WONDERFUL! The sound comes in wonderfully whether it's from the music, or the phone call quality.
In the big cities, however, the frequencies are horrible. Too much static to deal with, even on the empty frequencies (cities I tried this in was in Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV.) As I drove in the city, I always got interference from other stations interrupting my music or my phone calls.
Bottom Line: This product is GREAT if you're in a small town or even a larger area where FM radio stations aren't plentiful. In the big city however, I would suggest either finding a stronger FM transmitter, or replacing the head unit with one that has a dedicated aux input and/or bluetooth connectivity without the use of FM.
Easy to use and practically self explainable. Comes ready to use. Convenient and easily accessible controls on device. Comes w an easy to follow user manual. Gets the job done and serves as a perminent or temporary solution depending on the situation or buyer's preference or personal necessity. Only downfall (in my opinion) is there is no on/off option. U literally have to plug in/unplug everytime u want to use it or it drains the life from your car battery. Don't forget to unplug everytime ur not using it.
I have a 2000 Corvette with stick shift and a continuous “on” cigarette lighter. With the stick shifter, the transmitter is placed in exactly the wrong spot when plugged into the cigarette lighter because it interferes with shifting. Also, the transmitter has no off switch and it stays on with the engine off, causing a drain on the car’s battery. I could unplug it each time, but I will look for a better solution.
I bought this so that I could easily listen to audio books, music, and podcasts from my phone. A perfect device for a car without built in Bluetooth. It worked like a charm - for about 3 weeks.
As of January 2, I noticed that moving the neck of the transmitter caused it to cut off entirely and, with some coaxing, turn back on. Perhaps there is a short in the wires? Unplugging it and plugging it back into the cigarette lighter somewhat solves it for as long as I don't try to adjust the volume or hit a bump in the road. I don't expect this "fix" to work for much longer. Disappointing.
It's close, but I'm going to look for something else. It does kinda work as advertised tho. The plug is tight, it doesn't move around after you position it. Easy to read. Good volume. Transmits well. Plays a card. But...the hole for the card doesn't line up with the port. After you split the case to retrieve the card, it won't stay together ( a little tape works). Does it need a volume knob? There is an assumption of being used with a car radio that has controls. The space, or money would be better spent on a means of fast forwarding and reversing. Lastly, there is more than enuff room to put in a small on/off switch. Very annoying after a while to have to pull it so you can finish the song when you get back in the car. Unfortunately, these are repackaged by several sellers so these comments will probably not reach the actual producer. Too bad. It's so close.
Be mindful of your battery when using this. It quickly drains the juice and I learned it the hard way. Thankfully i was coming home and driving in my apartment complex when my car all of a sudden died while driving. I had been using it for about 3 or 4 hours which I had no idea how taxing that could but I’m glad I wasn’t on the road when it happened.
As far as sound goes, I set the volume on the device to 20, turn the volume on my iPhone X all the way up, and control the overall sound with my car volume. That’s the best combo I’ve come across so far but experimenting more.
Recommend setting a few open FM stations to your car’s presets that way as you go from place to place you don’t have to hunt for them. Plenty of apps that can Help find ones for you
This a great item, it works well and is easy to use. I gave the sound quality 2 stars and an overall of 3 because the aux out jack is very noisy(alternator whine) I have tried many different cables and it doesnt go away, the whine can also be heard when using the FM mode in the lower frequencies. It's not bad for the price and it wouldn't be fair to give it 2 stars.
I'm not sure if I got a faulty one, but it won't fit into the cigarette lighter unless I pushed it really hard. It still isn't all the way in and I wonder if it's contributing to the issues with sound I'm having. There's a constant buzzing in the background and the volume doesn't go up high enough to cover it. I think it would be great if it actually fit.
This thing here does what it advertises. It gets the music from phone to my old car's speakers. That's what I was looking for and that's what I got. There are two ways to connect your phone to this, either by Bluetooth or a headphone cord. The Bluetooth is beyond bad. i was shocked by how bad the music sounds when tryi to connect through it. It's exteremly quite and exteremly static sounding. The headphone cord makes the music sound acceptable but there is a noticeable static sound coming along for the ride.
3stars because the sound is not much fun. Connectivity is perfect Device is perfect The company is making a nice experience with product But only as mentioned as hifi sound experience .i didnt felt it My previous sound via aux is much much superior. I only bought this bcoz aux port got faulty like i have to fix it with hand to make it working.
Update : After 2 days use there is a Hissing sound coming when connected and no music is played ,it becomes KRRRrrrrr after few minutes . So if its just connected and no music is played ull not like it .Happening with me
