Almost a perfect product. The transmotterninot comes a but on the short side. Since my car the plug is now on the bottom of my dash the transmitter is short sonic always have to reach down to change the channels etc. Alsoneqch time it connects the volume gets resets and I have to turn it up on the transmitter, my car volume and my phone volume where the source is. Three places to get the right volume. And I nee drontuen it up a lot on the car so its loud if I forget and switch to FM radio.
It generally does the job but there are a couple of features/drawbacks to consider for this product. 1) it does not have a power button to allow the device to be turned off. If your lighter/power port remains on after the car is turned off then the device will be a drain on the car battery. I have to reattach the device each time I drive the car which causes the device to have to pair again with the stereo. The pairing is not always successful which causes me to have to fiddle with it. 2) the transmitter interferes with my remote key. The key fob must be within a few inches of the A-piller (antenna location for the fob) in order for the fob to lock/unlock the car.
I have not experienced the interference issues with other branded Bluetooth transmitter.
I bought this is June 2018. I wanted to see how long it would last before I wrote a review. This little Bluetooth transmitter is handy, but after about a year of use and taking it between my two cars, the connection is very easily lost. The head has actually completely disconnected and is only hanging on by wires. I think because of this it takes a very long time to connect, and half the time I have to connect via my phone itself. I won't buy one like this again, I'm going try a Bluetooth transmitter that is just one solid unit and see how that goes.
11/27 Update, contacted by seller with some better setup instructions and is now working a little bit better with a lot less buzzing static noise. Still a noticeable amount of static no matter how much I adjust though.
Original review: it works, but not very well. It syncs immediately with bluetooth on my phone which is a big plus. Unfortunately, no matter what station I put it on, there is always a constant buzz/static which is annoying. I'd buy something else in the future.
I got this one to replace an old one for my new car.It mostly does what its intended to do.My biggest issue is that for some reason i have to keep adjusting it i tried in the cigarette ligter and the outlet for some reason it losses connectivity or the sound starts to drop.Like i said its a fitment issue I have to keep adjusting it and thats not good while trying to focus on the road.Maybe its just this particular one,I hope so because i like the unit itself.
If you are in a small town or in an area where FM frequencies aren't so intrusive (ex: there aren't a lot of radio stations where you're at), then this product is WONDERFUL! The sound comes in wonderfully whether it's from the music, or the phone call quality.
In the big cities, however, the frequencies are horrible. Too much static to deal with, even on the empty frequencies (cities I tried this in was in Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV.) As I drove in the city, I always got interference from other stations interrupting my music or my phone calls.
Bottom Line: This product is GREAT if you're in a small town or even a larger area where FM radio stations aren't plentiful. In the big city however, I would suggest either finding a stronger FM transmitter, or replacing the head unit with one that has a dedicated aux input and/or bluetooth connectivity without the use of FM.
Easy to use and practically self explainable. Comes ready to use. Convenient and easily accessible controls on device. Comes w an easy to follow user manual. Gets the job done and serves as a perminent or temporary solution depending on the situation or buyer's preference or personal necessity. Only downfall (in my opinion) is there is no on/off option. U literally have to plug in/unplug everytime u want to use it or it drains the life from your car battery. Don't forget to unplug everytime ur not using it.
I have a 2000 Corvette with stick shift and a continuous “on” cigarette lighter. With the stick shifter, the transmitter is placed in exactly the wrong spot when plugged into the cigarette lighter because it interferes with shifting. Also, the transmitter has no off switch and it stays on with the engine off, causing a drain on the car’s battery. I could unplug it each time, but I will look for a better solution.
It's close, but I'm going to look for something else. It does kinda work as advertised tho. The plug is tight, it doesn't move around after you position it. Easy to read. Good volume. Transmits well. Plays a card. But...the hole for the card doesn't line up with the port. After you split the case to retrieve the card, it won't stay together ( a little tape works). Does it need a volume knob? There is an assumption of being used with a car radio that has controls. The space, or money would be better spent on a means of fast forwarding and reversing. Lastly, there is more than enuff room to put in a small on/off switch. Very annoying after a while to have to pull it so you can finish the song when you get back in the car. Unfortunately, these are repackaged by several sellers so these comments will probably not reach the actual producer. Too bad. It's so close.
