Had this for over 3 years and it worked perfectly, quality was always crystal clear no issues. Recently I ran into an issue, it would sometimes randomly disconnect from my phone and unpair from Bluetooth. Wasn’t too bad but after a while it got frustrating having to go on my phone and reconnect every ten minutes, but quality of sound was still fine. Ordered a new one, with the confidence that it would last me another year but I’m extremely disappointed, quality has gone down. I bought the mint blue one so I’m not sure if this makes a difference somehow, but the static is AWFUL! I tried every station, and awful static. Weirdly, when I accelerate in my car the static gets louder and makes a “whizzing” noise? I thought maybe the area I was in just had a bad radio signal, but I tested this by plugging my old one in and what do ya know, perfect crystal clear. I’m disappointed, loved this device but the quality is poor now. Maybe I’ll return and try it one more time, possibly just got a faulty model, but either way I’m quite frustrated.
UPDATE: They contacted me via email after I wrote this review - and tried to bribe me with a gift card or new product in exchange for a 4 or 5 star review. I bought this because it had pretty good reviews, now I have to wonder if they were all bought and paid for. So shady - I did report it to Amazon's customer service.
So at first I loved it! The microphone was terrible so I rarely used it to make calls but I did stream music through it all of the time. I removed it every time I turned my car off so that it wouldn't be plugged in when I started it back up. Still, less than a year later I died on me - one minute it was fine, the next, nothing. I will be replacing it but I won't buy this one again, going to try to find something with a better microphone.
There are buttons to push to receive a "hands free" phone call. Maybe we don't u understand it but if I have to look at the device to push the buttons then it is inherently Moore dangerous than simply answering the phone. Works very well as a Bluetooth speaker for music from an iPhone, though.
The quality is great once you find a good FM station. The static is very minimum. The only downside to this is that the microphone for Bluetooth calling is very weak. I have a cigarette plug-in in my middle console and under my radio system, both maybe a footfrom me. I would have to scream in order to talk to people and even thats not enough for them to hear me clearly but barely. I had an older and cheaper version of an FM transmitter than this model and even that worked better in bluetooth calling.
Works pretty well, there is definitely lots of static when playing. My biggest problem with this is that I really had to force it into the cigarette charger. Worried it's going to break off when I try to pull it out.
I use it on my motorcycle to convert older sound system to Bluetooth. Works great except on rough roads may bump connection lose then have to repair. Which is annoying on a real bad road if happens alot. Otherwise great
