I love netflix. This app however keeps locking up at the beginning of movies. seems to be ok for Tv shows but not for real movies. I hope the fix it soon will be 5 stars when they do.
UPDATE When trying to watch a TV show I have already seen the program will restart the show. The only way I can rewatch a show on my fire is to start watching it again on a PC or PS3 stop then resume on the Fire. Other smaller bugs remain, I don't know why Netflix works so well on so many devices but not on the Fire. It may have more to do with the Amazon Kindle fire that Netflix. I am a big Amazon and Netflix fan, but this is one of those critical apps that has to work. If I had known about this app being this problematic I would have been more likely to choose another device.
I am more inclined to use other services than Netflix, as it is very delayed in making programs that I want available (eg Doc Martin, Downton Abbey) to streaming. In addition, I don't like the fact that Netflix will make a show unavailable even after I've added to my queue. The Monarchy about the history of England's monarchy was taken away from my queue when I was about halfway through the series.
Same issue here...told there is a new version, but there is no update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still get notification. App does not load because the New Update just cycles me back and forth..would be nice to hit cancel message and load app until this is resolved.
Let me start by saying I love Netflix. I even ditched my cable and only watch Netflix when I watch tv at all. But when I watch it on my Kindle Fire HDX I constantly have sound issues. Either the sound is choppy, lagging, or missing or it's completely out of sync. I've tried reinstalling and updating but nothing seems to fix it. Definitely not an issue with my Wi-Fi because it works seamlessly while playing games online and using Netflix on other devices. Please fix the sound issue Netflix and I'll be happy to amend my review.
Will not work on my Galaxy 4 Player, didn't cost any thing just won't work with my player. Wanted it for the Grandchildren to watch their movies on Netflix with WiFi at home. They love the size of the player, guess it's small like them and holding the movie in their hand seems to interest them more, and I can watch political ads this season on my TV...yeah.
6-6-2013 update It is working a little better now, but is extremely slow getting started and loading. It now plays the movie almost flawlessly on my galaxy 4 player, of course the device may have problems also concerning it's processing power. Some of the problems may have to do with the local internet provider but it seems unlikely because my computer is almost perfect with netflix.
