4.0 out of 5 starsWorking, but be patient on the setup

So far so good. Had a bit of problems getting it connected, so be patient. I do have an IT background, but it took me some time, could be my particular environment. First the WPS seemed to work, but red for connection, yet I was 24" away from the router! Then I used the set-up assistant, worked good, but no 2.4G or 5G connection (no lights) but all other lights blue, but again kept going to red being right near the router. Then I read that it is best for the 5G if your router sends the wifi on channel 149-161. I had never accessed my router since it is from comcast and not one that I bought myself. Anyway, found the ID and password, changed the channel. This seemed like a little waste of time since once I got connected the 5G on the extender decided to connect to channel 48, even though the router was sending on 149. BUT when I finally just moved the extender to the desired beginning of the dead spot, it finally worked! Be patient again (unlike me) because it took probably about 20 minutes for the 2.4G and then the 5G to get connected. Using the Netgear dashboard is very helpful to watch the progress. Does seem to nicely extend the signal without any 1/2 drop like the others, in fact my signal is running about 110mps at the router and 114mps at the extender. This replaces the $69 Netgear extender that did drop the speed by 1/2 and also had problems of about 2-3 times per day dropping the router signal. So far.....48 hours later this one is all blue lights! I think my problem in the beginning of the setup is due to having too much metal and other equipment in the office/gym in my house where the router is.
