Like others, the motor died within 5 minutes of opening the box. Side hatch was shut, batteries replaced, all in all it's just a cheaply made and very overpriced cash-in on the latest fad. Don't waste your money on it and definitely don't get your kids' hopes up about playing with this.
Preordered this 3 months ago. First one worked for about 30 shots & the.motor wouldn't start up. Just had a replacement sent, fired 10 darts & quit working. Yes, I made sure the orange door was closed. Been using Rayovac batteries. Gonna try a different brand battery or I'll have to return another. So disappointing!
Oh No! I am saddened to hear of your experience with your Fortnite AR-L blaster. It stronger batteries does not fix the issue please contact our customer service team at your convenience. I am confident we can help! https://consumercare.hasbro.com/en-us
Bought this for my youngest son for his 9th birthday. We both were very disappointed. Bullets regularly get stuck in the barrel and have to be put out. Holding down the switch to build power so bullets go takes a long time to wind up. Bullets don’t travel far. Magazine only holds 10 bullets so they run out fast. He was so excited to get it as he’s a huge Fortnite fan and plays every day. He hasn’t played with it it since his birthday. It just sits in a corner of his room. Waste of money.
I know this was my own fault......I didn't read many of the reviews here. I usually do read them, but then I usually know what I'm buying. This time, it was a product I didn't know much about so I had to research. Multiple videos and independent reviews said the Nerf Fortnight, with the battery accelerator were awesome! I needed shooters for my youngest two grandsons (the five year old that thinks he's grown, and the tall, autistic six year old) for Christmas.
I'm not going to dull you with the many steps I made to see if I could get either of these guns to work; needless to say, BOTH were defective. I will say that Amazon could not have done any thing more to help with the situation. Customer Service was awesome!
I brought this for my eight year old and I’m very disappointed it works when it want to, there’s no power, motor is weak etc. I brought a cheaper nerf gun at Walmart and it’s 10x better. So please don’t waste your money on name only. Said part he was so excited to receive it.
MEH... Needs serious performance modding if you want it to have some range. As stock with new batteries I was shocked at how poorly this shot, both in distance and speed. It’s really bad. Our handheld spring pistol shoots a lot further and with more power. Our kid just had to have it because of Fortnite. It’s also pretty big for an 8 year old. Seems a bit large. It also has that sort of comic book look to it so it won’t be a good candidate for repainting to look real like many other nerf guns are. Save your money unless your kid just won’t take no for an answer like ours did. Spoiled I tell you! The Fortnite gun series are just a cash grab from Nerf. The suppression pistol is bad too and also oversized. We have both. I don’t recommend either one.
