I've been scouring Amazon for a Bluetooth receiver that will work well in my car, specifically one that will automatically turn itself on/off and connect/disconnect with the car, and unfortunately, this is not it. I have a 2010 Honda Accord, with the aux jack tucked in the center console in the armrest. The car has Bluetooth, but only for phone calls. I wanted something that would automatically connect when I get in and start the car, but this device is not that smart, however. When nothing is connected for a period of time, it goes to standby and eventually turns off. So, when I get in the car, I have to toggle the power switch before my phone will reconnect. It does auto-connect when powered on, which is better than some, but I still have to open the armrest and flip the switch. When leaving the car, the device has a battery, so the phone will stay connected unless you remember to disconnect or go out of range. This isn't what I am after, so I'm back to looking for a different receiver. I don't know why I thought the Mpow did what I wanted; looking back at the description and reviews it is clear that I need a receiver without a battery. For what it is, the Mpow is fine. Audio quality is fine, battery life is excellent, very compact. When it is turned off or gone to standby, it does produce a noticeable amount of hum on the aux jack.
