Had to have it in my collection! The main reason for the star subtraction is for Amazon not the movie!!!I just wish that Amazine would let me custom arrange my Video Library instead of only offering by date purchased or alphabetical order. I would prefer to arrange by genre, episode, number in franchise so that I could group my movies together instead of having a hodge podge to sort through!
It was because of how unimpressive this movie is that I almost skipped seeing Infinity War. Good thing I didn’t. The editing in Ultron is terrible. The conversations often seem out of place. Ultron as a character should have been built up more. There is almost no proper set up. Both Ultron and Vision turned out to be boring to me. The weakest of the Avenger movies by far.
I watched this during my Avengers a thon. I forgot Iron Man basically invented the floating guy. I didn’t realize it wasn’t James Spader who voiced the bad robot guy. He’s got a great super villain voice. Good movie overall, plot was a bit weird but they made it work.

We love Marvel and we really enjoyed this movie. I love how all of the movies are connected. There are really good stories behind the movies that you have to follow along to understand what is really going on but it is a must have to our collection of Marvel movies. I would definitely recommend this movie.
More fun than I remembered in the movies. I thought it was kind of dark, and though the kids wouldn't like it, but it was fun. Everything I want in an Ultron movie. I still can't get over that they have an Avengers movie where they fight Ultron! Awesome. Who knew the comic books I was reading 40 or more years ago would be turned into such great movies!
Wow, I loved it! This is a really solid followup to Avengers 1. We get more character development, a good villain, and some great action and special effects. I really liked the personality of Ultron. He's funny, intelligent, deadly and crazy. Very different from the usual emotionless evil robot. I didn't like the idea of the Romanov/Banner romance, but the actors actually pulled it off pretty well. Loved the Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver, and I was thrilled to see Vision on the big screen. I never thought THAT would happen. Paul Bettany was perfect in that part. The only thing I didn't like was the death of a particular character that has been one of my favorites in the comics. I really hope they pull an "only MOSTLY dead" deal, and bring him back. Anyway, I loved this film! Keep 'em coming Marvel! (and DC!)
Age of Ultron is about unintended consequences. When powerful people like the Avengers take action there is no way they can tell how they will affect others and the world. There are two such examples in the movie. First, the Maximoff twins of Pietro played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Wanda played by Elizabeth Olsen lost their parents to a Stark munitions in Sokovia which left with them extremely bitter and angry, and was why they were working with Hydra. Second, Tony Stark played by Robert Downjey Jr was still traumatized by his near death experience saving New York City from Loki and the Chitauri with a little boost from Wanda Maximoff. He convinces Bruce Banner played by Mark Ruffalo to help him create an artificial intelligence defense system for the world. That backfires however when it gains its own consciousness and becomes Ultron the antagonist in the film. The fact that both of these events were linked to Tony Stark showed that his ego could lead to as much bad as good.
Like the best of the Marvel movies there are great action scenes. My favorite is when Wanda drives Banner crazy and Stark has to bring in a super suit to try to subdue the Hulk in Kenya.
As usual there are a ton of Marvel Easter Eggs in the film. For example, Ultron goes to Ulysses Klaue played by Andy Serkis to buy vibranium which he stole from Wakanda. This was the first hint of the Black Panther. Ultron also cuts off Klaue’s arm which in the comics becomes his sonic cannon. In the Black Panther movie it’s replaced by a Wakandan ray gun. The film was also setting up the Infinity Wars films with Loki’s scepter having one Infinity Stone which was placed inside the Vision. Then Thor goes to a magical pool and sees all the Infinity Stones. At the end, Thor warns that someone was manipulating events with the Infinity Stones. That was Thanos. At a party at the start of the film the Avengers each try to pick up Thor’s hammer. Captain America played by Chris Evans is the only one that can make the hammer shift. That actually plays out in Avengers End Game. Wanda also gives each member of the Avengers a nightmare. For Thor he’s warned that his power will lead to the destruction of Asgard. That’s foreshadowing Thor: Ragnarok. For the first time the name Hawkeye is used when the Avengers hide out at Barton’s home and his wife calls him that. The Black Widow also calls Iron Man Shellhead which was how he was referred to in the Avengers’ comics.
I knew I was in for a treat when I heard that James Spader was going to voice Ultron. He's another one of those rare folks who could read the phonebook and make it sound exciting. I was not disappointed. He was absolutely perfect. Ultron sounded confused, self-righteous, disgusted, and utterly mad. The level of acting James Spader can accomplish with his voice alone was brilliant.
To make things even better, he wasn't the only one. Paul Bettany as Vision was amazing. His precise, measured, calm British tones were absolute perfection. He had the advantage in that he wasn't just a voice alone for much of the movie, but he was a great choice for the character and his voice was crucial because the way Vision keeps his emotions under wraps means he needs to be expressive in other ways.
Aside from the casting (everyone else was grand, too, by the way), most of the rest of the movie was great also. I will say that pacing was a little dodgier than previous MCU films, but so much of the rest of it was good that I won't even dock a star for that. Effects were spectacular, story was good, seeing the Avengers socializing let the viewers get a look at new facets of these characters, even though we've had a number of MCU movies already.
I really enjoyed this movie, and while I do agree that it's 'weaker' compared to the first Avengers movie, I would hardly call that a great failing. This film does NOT fall on its face the way a lot of sequels to popular movies do.
4.0 out of 5 starsIt's not a perfect film but there's enough to it that makes it ...

Despite my initial mixed response to the film even after multiple viewings in the cinema. I've come to appreciate this Sequel with time. It's not a perfect film but there's enough to it that makes it worth owning and watching. The cast is great and even though Ultron is a bit underused as a villain he still is great with the little they do with the character. I love seeing Scarlet Witch and Pietro as part of the Avengers and the action scenes are what you'd expect from an ensemble in an Avengers film.

The movie is great, with stunning visuals in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos in the 7.1.4 setup. This movie laid a very important foundation for Endgame. Check the images I uploaded. This movie set comes with a slipcover as well so that's great!
Edit: the standard bluray disc in the pack is defective one, so I suggest everyone to please check if you receive all your discs in perfect condition immediately after you receive the movie.

I thought that this movie was pretty good, the story is different to the one in the comic books, but that is no surprise, since they seem to be doing that with most of these movies. Age of Ultron is better than Avengers assemble because it has a bigger scale than it's predecessor, the actors seem to be having fun with it, what I mean by that is that they seem to be more comfortable than they were in the first one, and the story in my opinion has more to it. If you are a fan of the Avengers, then I highly recommend this movie.
This is a excellent film I thought it was a really good film I watched it the other day I need to get the rest so I can watch them I think I only need two because I have the the end game on on 4K ultra HD I do like to buy them on 4K ultra HD but they cost twice the price sometimes free x
As a huge fan of all the marvel characters and movies, this was a must have dvd to my growing collection of marvel dvds. It was an amazing follow up to the first Avengers film, Captain America 2 and iron man 3 . The jaw dropping visual effects had me hooked from the beginning just like the first movie, it had its moment of comedy but this film was more deep and darker than the first avengers movie. I absolutely love this movie and appreciated the quick delivery and safe packaging meaning I was able to watch this movie quicker than expected.

I didn't hear much good about this movie from those who went to see it at the cinema but having finally got around to seeing it, I really enjoyed it and for me it's one of the best in the series. I'm not a Marvel buff but I like this movie and would happily watch it again. Lots of wit, banter and a few emotional moments too.
Nothing bad about the film. My daughter absolutely adores marvel however she bought this for the collectors edition cover and it come without it. Why bother having a photo saying it comes with the cover. Stupid.

Age of Ultron is a decent movie and stands alone in the Marvel canon but does not really match the first avengers movie. In fact there are times this movie and its characters are down right annoying, that's coming from a fan of marvel movies and books
4.0 out of 5 starsSadly this arrived with a big scratch down the disk

So I could only watch parts of the movie. The rest just froze and wouldn't play. I think that film was pretty good from what I saw but the disk is too damaged to watch and it's too hard and costly to get it exchanged.
