5.0 out of 5 starsThe first wireless I'd use for gaming -- FPS Veteran
April 25, 2016
I've been playing Quake for over 17 years, so of course when they make claims that wireless can compete with wired mice, my first reaction is "yeah right". So I got it, and I tried really hard to test if there's a delay ... and I'm still not sure. That's how good it is. Very impressed.

Everything seems great on this mouse, it's just not my personal preference shape and weight wise. 107g is amazing for a wireless mouse, don't get me wrong, but my top mice are around 88 to 94g, which is a big difference in twitch FPS.

Still, as an all purpose Windows and gaming mouse, this is the best I've used. Free scroll, tilt wheel, modular design, wireless, DPI buttons, and of course the 3366 sensor, everything is amazing. If you like this kind of design and you can afford it, then I highly recommend it.

For a more in depth review, just search YouTube for "Rocket Jump Ninja G900", 15 minute video with multiple tests, including in game.

1.0 out of 5 starsSecond mouse, same problem
January 19, 2019
The mouse works well, until you have to do warranty service with Logitech. The first G900 had an issue where the right mouse button would register multiple clicks with a single click. In games, this would result in aim down sights constantly toggling on and off, making most FPS unplayable. In Windows it would repeatedly open the options menu, rendering Windows nearly unusable.

I contacted Customer Support, and even though they worked with me to take the mouse back without the original packaging, they required me to send the mouse back before sending a replacement. Not as big of a deal for me, as I had my old Razer Naga which had been used for 6 years, available for temporary usage.

The warranty process then takes from nearly a month for me to receive the replacement mouse. I've had Razer and SteelSeries products to me in two days, without having to send the defective device back first, so I can use what limited functionality I have. What am I supposed to do if I have no other mouse? Be without a mouse for a month? Spend money on a spare mouse to use in the meantime while I wait a MONTH for my mouse to come back to me?

The first mouse I had for a year and the problem occurred. It has been another year, and the replacement mouse has the same problem. I'm not going to bother contacting Logitech for another replacement, I'm switching brands and never buying Logitech again. Such a shame, because they really do make well designed products, but they should last longer when the cost so much. I purchased the mouse when it cost $150. I wouldn't recommend this product if the mouse was $50.

4.0 out of 5 starsGreat Mouse, Still needs some Tweaks...
March 27, 2017

#1, This mouse is amazing, it's the only wireless mouse that has been designed to be better than a flock of random RGB crazy gaming mouses. In other words, this thing beats wired mouses..
#2, It has a internal battery that lasts for several hours in wireless mode, awesome! I plan on pairing this with a laptop. (If you plug, unplug a mouse in your laptop... eventually the port goes bad from the contacts scraping over and over.)

-1/2 star: I don't like how this mouse is straight, it's not designed for right or left mouse users. Several times on my desktop I have switched to using a Zowie EC1-A instead. (I'm right handed.)
-1/2 star: I don't like how the software sometimes freaks out when you are adjusting the mouse dpi, and polling. I've never had this problem with periphal software before..

Lastly.. I hate how when my hand hugs this mouse, it sometimes presses the back button while browsing the web.. I know I can change this in the settings, but I'm still trying to decide if I should or not.

4.0 out of 5 starsAwesome gaming at the cost of hand cramps.
September 17, 2018

So, I've had the G900 for a few months now so I'm ready to do a review. Firstly, the mouse is awesome. It looks great, the materials feel great, and its super light weight. Know that when getting this mouse, one of its biggest selling points is that it's an ambidextrous mouse that you can really use with either hand. That said, the mouse is relatively straight and narrow. The body of the mouse sits relatively low so if you prefer a relaxed grip rather than a claw hand, it may feel pretty good for you.

Getting real here: If you plan on getting a gaming mouse for over a hundred dollars, you're probably going to be the kind of person that absolutely dumps hours into it. This brings me to my primary complaint: after a solid gaming binge on a day off of work, playing a click heavy game like diablo for hours on end may be very taxing on your grip strength. By the end of a full day of streaming or hardcore gaming, you may or may not experience some hand cramps. If you're prone to this, I doubt this is the mouse for you and you may want something more ergonomic.

Lack of moderation on my part aside, the mouse works wonderfully.
++The report rate (5ms on full charge) makes the mouse respond on a dime.
+Acceleration is able to be controlled by the user.
+You can have up to 5 onboard DPI settings independent from the computer software stored on the mouse itself.
++The mouse can be calibrated to many different surfaces.
+Optical sensor instead of laser results in better tracking.
+Decent battery life.
+Customizable RGB coloring for DPI setting and logo.
+Profiles available allowing programming of each button for each individual game.
++Mouse clicks are a full lever action instead of bent plastic which feels
+Ambidextrous button layout allowing the addition of buttons to either side.
++Scroll wheel unlocking feature
+Side scrolling capabilities with mouse wheel

- - Hand cramps.
- - - - - - Charges with micro USB.

4.0 out of 5 starsGood precise wireless mouse
November 4, 2019

Good for gamiing or general use. Main issue I have is the once it's fully charged the mouse stops working - how agrevating! Is that supposed to happen?
Anyway have to unplug it and use wirelessly then rinse and repeat.

The other concern I have is that the lazer seems to pick up movement up to a few feet away from the mouse pad but when using and an extremly slight angel is applied during movement (with fingertips lightly touching or scheming over the logitech mousepad) the mouse will not recognize the movement which is pretty annoying! I fail to see why that happens?

Other than that the mouse is very precise with no noticeable wireless delay. I'm hopeing buying the logitech wireless mousepad recharger may help negate the above issues. Guess I'll soon find out.

Overall, I'm still happy with my purchase but for the price I would rather be ecstatic.

The mouse is very light for a wireless mouse. The ergonomics of the mouse suit the gaming style. If you have motherboard that has usb supercharge feature will help charge your plugged in devices very quickly, and so I don't ever have to worry about charging my mouse because charge is low. Also each charge lasts about 24 hours approximately. Playing PUBG for 4 hours a day and web surfing here and there I noticed a 100% charge went to 90~85% charge. Tracking is also pretty spot on, when compared to a wired mouse (g502) due to the same optical sensor that is being used in both mice - PMW3366. One small gripe is that the mouse is longer in length so people with wide and small hands will have some issues, but adjusting your grip may solve this issue. If it was a tab bit wider and shorter this would have been a perfect solution for wireless mouse. Other than that this mouse is excels in all other aspects.

4.0 out of 5 starsIf you're looking for an accurate 1:1 sensor in a low latency 1ms wireless mouse then you've found it
September 17, 2016

I'll be comparing this item to my mouse that I was using previously, the Rival 300.

The sensor is of course flawless, and perhaps the best part about this mouse. If you're looking for an accurate 1:1 sensor in a low latency 1ms wireless mouse then you've found it.

The ergonomics of the mouse leave much to be desired however. I have used ambidextrous mice before and the difference between them and this is the material on the outer shell. The G900 has incredibly slippery plastic that is nearly impossible to use if you have dry hands. I was forced to switch the way I hold the mouse in order to compensate for this. On the Rival 300 the entire thing is rubberized and feels like you could throw it through a brick wall it has so much grip. I have taken a star off for this purpose. Why oh why didn't Logitech just make the entire mouse have the same material that is on the front 25% of the mouse? It has a perfect feel to it but since my hand is too small apparently (I have rather large hands) I never get to utilize the grip on the front.

tldr;
If this mouse had better grip there would be literally no reason to use any other mouse ever. Also make a right handed version please.

4.0 out of 5 starsBest Wireless Mouse I've ever used. (Purchased Dec 25th, 2016)

As the title states, this is the best wireless mouse I've ever used. With that said, I would not buy it again. The only reason for that is that I do miss the ergonomics of mice made for right hand users and that's mainly it. Everything else about the mouse is perfect. I've been playing FPS games since the original Doom/Quake days and without question, the wireless aspect of the mouse is fantastic. The battery these days only last about a day on a full charge with heavy usage. Once the wireless version of the G502 comes down in price, that'll be my next mouse upgrade.

4.0 out of 5 starsFantastic mouse for picky users. Wish it was equally good in macOS as it is for Windows. :(

I'm a software developer, so I'm picky about my mice. This one is fantastic, especially for Windows. It has a lot of features including back/forward buttons, software/drivers for customizing the LED color cycles, and is heavier than most mice (my preference.) I also happen to like how the USB charging cable and wireless receiver were designed to stay together. I tend to be forgetful about accessories (I carry them back and forth from the office daily) so having the ability to plug them together means less chances for me to forget something.

My only complaint about this product is that the back/forward buttons do not work on macOS, despite the macOS software/driver reporting these buttons as being available and configured for use. It's a real buzz kill for me, since my MacBook Pro is setup for dual boot and I'm currently having to dance between Windows and macOS daily for my work.

4.0 out of 5 starsExcelent mouse

I'll just go into the pros and cons right away.

Pros:
The design doesn't sacrifice the ergonomics
I have had absolutely no issue with pairing or tracking
The software is mostly simple to use with some of the lighting settings being strange, such as, needing to turn lighting effect to "off" for static colors
The battery life is incredible for such a high performance mouse
The "hyperscroll" mouse wheel is fun if you like to keep your hands occupied and i found it surprisingly useful
It is lighter than my razer mamba
The little micro usb to full size usb adapter for the reciever is really nice
The charging cable securely attaches to the mouse and doesn't require you to slide a locking tab out or anything to remove it
The reciever is surpringly small for a gaming mouse but that works great for laptops
Some might find the mouse looks great

Cons:
The price is a bit high, so you should get it when it's on sale
There is a massive amount of flicker from the leds when you dont have them set to red green or blue
As stated above the are a few weird things about the software
Some might find the mouse ugly
So, while it's a realy good mouse, I didn't see any real difference in sensor accuracy or wireless latency from my mamba for the price. But where I did see differences were the wher the i sqw the most value, the mamba had all of the downfalls of wireless mice. Terrible software issues, the charging base sucked, and the connection would just drop even with the base right next to it. The G900 Has resolved all of these issues again stated above in the pros. So, if you don't mind the price, then I definitely think you should get this mouse. But if the price i too high then maybe you should try getting it on sale or the g403 wireless. It's basically the same mouse without hyperscroll, few other missing buttons, and the more premium accessories.

Performance: 5 stars product, a rare gym, pin point accuracy with lag free performance. One of the best mice i ever used in my life and thats coming from a 40 years old gamer. That optical sensor is outstanding, you buy it and wont regret your decision as long as the design fits your hand.
Design: for me Its a downside and a disappointment, that ambidextrous design made both sides identical without curves and felt loose in my hand, the thin back kept on moving left and right in my palm during gaming and was never firm in my hand, the 2 holes behing the main left and right buttons felt weird. Unlike the wirless Razer Mamba (tailored to right hands, the bumpy curve sink to my palm and grib is firm leading to an accurate control of the device).
I took off one star because of the design, if your looking to buy it make sure to try it before not all hands are the same and this is a personal preference. For me if Logitech address this design it would be the best mouse roaming the lands but till then i am sticking to my mamba until further notice.

I have had this mouse for a little over a year now and have had no problems at all. Having the freedom of not dragging around a cord across the desk while playing FPS games is very nice.

The battery life is great and can last a couple weeks with light usage. It also charges super fast! Plug it in for 20 minutes and it's already at 50% battery life which is good for 14 hours or so. Plug it in for a few minutes and you're good for the rest of the night.

The software is nice and does its job. Nothing to rave about but you can easily remap buttons, set sensitivity presets and so on.

The only thing I don't like about the mouse is that when you depress the wheel, as in push straight down, it almost always triggers the left/right press too. So, opening new tabs in Chrome by depressing the mouse wheel almost always triggers the "page back" action as well and it's really annoying. I don't know if this problem is unique to just my unit or if it affects them all. This is the only thing keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars.
