This is great for my family. My husband and I are big people and we were worried that we wouldn’t find a carrier that fits us. My husband is 6’2 and 300+ and the waist buckle fits him good. It’s comfortable for baby and it has helped us as we travel.
My current carrier is bulky because it came with an extender. It cut into my armpit area. It also heavy and awkward AND I need my husband's assistance when putting it on and taking it off. I wanted a simpler carrier.
I was eyeing this carrier for weeks, but was on the fence. I am a fluffy momma and worried about it being too small or simply not fitting. Many reviewers said it was perfect for larger moms so I finally bit the bullet and purchased - I could always return, right?
YES! I was able to put it on, adjust it and then take it off myself. I'm a 2x and even have an extra 8+ inches around the waist (YAY!). Even had to pull tight around chest/shoulders so there is definitely room for people with a broader chest/shoulders. In other words, this carrier was made for plus sized parents/caregivers in mind. A family member is a 3x. I believe she is a size 24/26 in pants. This carrier fit her just fine. It was not tight at all. Because the back fasteners are adjustable (can be raised/lowered), the straps did not cut into my armpits.
Now I need to try this out over an extended period of time like at a baseball game or a day at the zoo. I can't speak to support and if it's comfy for BOTH my baby and me or if the material is cool. This is why I cannot give it a 5 star review at this time. Update and revision may follow.
This is very comfortable to wear, I can use it without any external help. I like quality of material and design too. My 7 month old boy can comfortably sleep in there. He feels more comfortable when facing me, but doesnt fall asleep with facing front, though he doesnt feel uncomfortable just not enough to fall asleep. I use it for hiking all the time.
We got two because we love hiking and needed something better than our old wrap carriers we had. They fit me and my husband pretty good and let's you adjust to your fitting/liking. The only thing I wish it had is more head support in case my son falls asleep. I have used it several times hiking and he falls asleep in it which means it's comfortable but I have to hold his head the whole time. I can't wear him on my back if he falls alseep :/ just imagine his head going side to side or falling back. My 3 year old loves it and says it doesn't hurt her legs and hips like the old ones we had.
Really like the color and the way this carrier was designed. I really liked that I have extra pockets that way I’m able to store wipes, diapers and my phone and keys as needed. My baby loved being in it. It’s very versatile. My only bad thing is that it’s not made for med or women with broad shoulders. The traps that go around my and my husband shoulders were the worst. It made like a short “c” if that makes sense. It was not supporting our backs so we felt our sons weight and it did hurt our backs after about 10-15 mins of wearing. I’ll add a picture. I did make sure everything was hooked up correcting but still didn’t change anything.
I enjoy the look of it and I was able to start using it for my newborn at around 4 weeks old, before that it seemed uncomfortable for her. She enjoys it alot at 2 months old, she fits in it best now. There are alot of pockets which come in handy for a pacifier, spit wrag and phone. I will say the back support is slightly uncomfortable, there's a clip in the middle up top that you can't reach to adjust and the straps that go behind your arms/shoulders don't seem to sit properly. These are minor issues though, overall it's comfortable and the stomach strap helps to keep the pressure of the back. Probably best for babies 1 1/2 months and up. Also as a side note I'm really not sure how to store this when not in use, it kind of just lays in a messy heap somewhere in the house.
I bought this carrier after buying the infantino 4 in 1 convertible... which had no pockets or anything to stash my stuff in so I was in search for something I could store stuff in! This was the most budget friendly carrier I found that I could carry stuff in! Mind you the pockets are not huge... you can only store a few diapers and a onsie and a small wallet but it's awesome for those quick runs out of the house with baby! It's also more padded then the other which makes it feel all cosy however with al the pockets and padding it is more bulky. Also one side not for breastfeeding Momma's this has more padding on the chest part so you need to take the entire carrier of to breastfeed whereas the 4 in 1 you can just clip of the front part and breastfeed easier. I'm keeping both because they both have there own pros and cons
So I like this carrier but after using it with my baby I find that we like our moby becasue its skin to skin there isnt a barrier between us. However this carrier is perfectly fine the only real issue I have with it is that the arm straps have these buckles that are a but uncomfortable when I'm wearing it. Honestly I'd probably buy a different carrier but this has been fine for now
Product is good, strong and you feel baby is safe in it. Only issue i had is with weight distribution. You will start feeling pain in shoulders within 20-30 minutes as straps pull shoulders forward down with baby weight. I use extra belt for back support to fix this issue for me (as shown in picture). I guess if one more strap is added for upper back support, this product will be 5 star rating.
Haven’t worn it for a lengthy amount of time yet.. just around the house but it’s fairly easy to get on once you kind of have it adjusted to your comfort ect. The only thing that’s a pain is the buckles are very hard to undo almost like they clip in well so they stay but hard to undo with just one hand if that makes sense. But we are looking forward to using it as baby grows!
