Butt faeries hold the poop-splosion!

I'm gonna throw it out there... I'm kinda impressed with honest brand nappies and training pants... Decided to take a break from huggies for a minute (one can only put their daughter in Minnie Mouse panties so many times before said person wants to vomit at the sight of the same images day in and day out...), and ordered some butt faeries (they have a faery print...) for my toddler to wear... Not even an hour into her first pair, she, of course, decided to loose the poop monster (and we are talking a respectable bowel movement for a toddler!), and I am very happy to say that the honest panties didn't even consider leaking out of the legs, back or front! 😂
My daughter is 2 years old, but large for her age, and the 4t/5t fit her perfectly! AND... She loves having faeries on her panties! ❤

Seriously?! What are they thinking?

Ok look at the photo I uploaded.... Look at this training underwear compared to a Huggies Easy Ups. The Honest Company undies are built to fit an elephant! No elastic in the sides so the sides can't conform or shape to your kid's hips. They just fall off!! The butt and crotch fits but the waist is like women's size Large underwear??! WTH! Doesn't even make sense.

I was skeptical about Honest Diapers, as I've read mixed reviews about absorbency. However, I chose these bc the ETA for the delivery was the quickest out of all the other pull-ups. Quarantine = beggers can't be choosy. I was pleasantly surprised. The diapers are incredibly soft, my little one could easily pull them up, they stayed on - no slippage - and she easily removed when sitting on the potty. Best of all, super leak proof and absorbent. She slept in them overnight and NO LEAKS even with a heavy pee. It's the small things in life that make the biggest difference. Added bonus: My toddler loved the design, "Ohhh, sooo cuuuute."

Leak-proof is Right!

I couldn't find any indication on the packaging whether these could be worn at night, but I tried them anyway. My daughter never leaks out, reasonably speaking (don't try to make your kid wear it literally all day!) It also contains the "stinkies" as we call them nicely. Even regular diapers didn't do this well. My daughter has never complained about discomfort, they fit great, and they helped us get started potty training. It made her so excited to graduate from diapers and become a "big girl"!

Also, we have recently switched to regular underwear because, unfortunately, the only issue with these training pants is that they are SO leak-proof, our daughter wasn't afraid to just wet in them instead of using the toilet! We had to change her to underwear to give her a greater sense of urgency about going on the toilet before having an accident. SO... the best feature was also the worst feature! Ha!

diaper not sealed properly; visible problems straight out of the package

This batch received was not sealed properly. Some were not sealed at all, some sealed with a weak layer of tissue weight fibers. For the ones marginally attached somewhat. I tried using those. Definitely did not hold up even a toddler at rest, much less a diaper on a toddler in motion.

Photos attached of unused diapers. You can see the tufts of cotton already coming out. This is visibly faulty. I used some thinking it was partially sealed, then gave up when the absorbent gel layer got all over the place. Life is too short to be dealing with clearly faulty diapers. I approached honest.com for their help and and after learning the lot number and seeing the photos and identifying the problem, proceeded to let me know they weren't responsible for handling the problem, and pointed me to their FAQ . Thumbs down for honest customer service.

Baby’s bottom red, swollen, painful.

These diapers are very cute, and I love the honest hair and body wash for my son. The 2t-3t Dino print pull ups are smaller than Pampers or Huggies brand pull ups in the same size, do not stretch as well on the sides, are not absorbent, and seem to be made of a rough recycled-like material (not quite as bad as the rough, brown paper towels in public restrooms, but this is a close comparison). My baby has never had diaper rash or skin issues. He has gorgeous skin. These gave my poor baby a horribly painful, red, very inflamed diaper area (not just the bum, the entire diaper area). He has never had a diaper rash in his life, even after using bargain diapers like CVS brand, Luvs, and Mama Bear brand. These are the only diapers that have ever caused a skin issue, and I am shocked as I thought this company catered to parents looking to avoid chemicals, scents, and inorganic synthetic materials; in fact, it seems like these diapers cater more to promoting environmental sustainability in using recycled materials that are sustainable and good for the earth, but very harmful to my baby’s skin, and not high quality in terms of stretch, absorbency, shape, and comfort. It’s great to see companies being earth conscious but since they cause my child pain, redness, and inflammation, they are unusable for my baby. I am so disappointed as I love this brand and I think their patterns are adorable!

So here is my honest review:
I ordered the unicorn design and received the fairies. First mishap.
Second. These diapers are way to floppy in the butt section, my daughter has a constant weggie and I don’t trust that they will not leak through at night.
The waistband at the top is is scratching her tummy and leaving red marks. Totally disappointed by these.
The “back” marking is so hard to see, literally blends in with the design. Why would they do this?
Overall I am not happy with this product, waste of money!
I have been using the pampers training diapers for my baby and they have been the best so far. No leaks.. even overnight, super absorbent, and no irritation.

These diapers are not the greatest in absorbency, however we spend the extra money on these because they dont give our toddler a rash. She gets very bad rashes with diapers with chlorine. When she was a baby we used seventh generation but for some reason their training pants are not as good as the diapers.

Now we used Earth's Best for night time and Honest for daytime, since Honest doesn't hold up that much liquid in them.

We use honest company diapers and love them but these feel nothing like them! They are not as soft and the sizing is awful! My daughter is long and thin... only 24 pounds and the 2t-3t are almost snug on her! She wears 18 month clothing and these diapers barley cover her bum! It says up to 34 pounds... I don’t see how that is possible. So so disappointed. I wanted to love these and stick with the company we love but we will be looking else where and are stuck with a bunch of pull ups that don’t work.

We are still in the process of potty training, I normally use pampers easy ups but due to the pandemic they’re sold out every where so I decided to try these. They aren’t the softest however they do absorb all the accidents in case your little can’t make it to the potty or you’re in the process like us.

I do recommend like everyone else said by sizing down we are a 3t-4t in easy ups but the 2t-3t works well. The design is cute and she can maneuver and pull them up and down. We have super sensitive skin and no reactions. Definitely give them a try.
