one of my alltime favorite shows in any category you just cannot stop laughing as every hannah barbera characters we've ever known and loved goes to court just like the rest of us, honestly i cant write a good enough review, dear lord treat yourself to this
Take a relatively obscure 60's Saturday morning TV superhero. Stick him in a suit and cast him as a (mostly) inept attorney. Have him defend various other cartoon characters against a wide array of often bizarre charges. That's Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.
Also of note, Stephen Colbert does some of the supporting cast voice acting.
Definitely worth having if you are a fan of old Hanna-Barbara cartoons and have an absurdest sense of humor.
Greatest cartoon to have ever blessed the network of Adult Swim. Well maybe not the best. Aqua Teen still ranks #1 in my books of greatest cartoons ever. But this one comes pretty close. The DVD came in perfect shape and it was sealed. Also it came extremely earlier than I expected. When you first take the DVD out of it's packaging don't be alarmed by the dents and scratches on the cover. Rest assured, that's how the DVD comes. It's actually quite humorous and clever. The bonus features aren't all that great but the episodes are hilarious. Pick this one up and the other three. You mind as well, they're pretty cheap.
Harvey Birdman is an animation that has humor of the selective kind. If you're not one who can laugh at the ridiculousness of a cartoon character skateboarding through the legal system or at parodies of some serious real life events then don't buy it. Otherwise, prepare yourself for humor you can only find on adult swim. As a law student, this is one of my favorites because it gives a look at the legal system from the point of view of the regular person with a hilarious twist which makes it that much funnier. One note, on the back of the DVD case with all the miscellaneous stuff about what is contained on each DVD there is a funny intro to what you are about to watch (which I think is great). However, there is one error: it has the first two lines of the intro theme song, but the last word is incorrect. Instead of "who's the cat with the FEET," it should be "who's the cat with the BEAK."
