After one week my dog went to the vet with an intestinal blockage. Vet said that he sees this often with these chews. They are meant to be well chewed as the chews are very dense. If your dog doesn't take the time to really chew them (as most dogs don't), then it can end up getting stuck in their system.
My Parson Russell Terrier became very sick, bloody stool and bloody vomit, not knowing what to do as I thought I would not have my precious dog much longer. I took her to the Vet. she was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a very unusual disease. Put her on all low fat diet, cottage cheese, boiled rice, boiled chicken, boiled potato. After a few days she, my dog was on the mend. Not knowingly that Greenies was the cause, I gave her a greenie as she was being so so good, eating such a bland diet. In 12 hours she was sick again and knowing she could not loose more weight I went to the Vet. they put her on IV regiment for 12 hours. She came back fine, much better. Talking to my neighbor Lynn and telling her about my dog and her problem with pancreatitis. Lynn told me that her puppy was just operated on. Also with the same, pancreatitis. Lynn told me that the Vet. had to operate on her dog to take out an obstruction. The Vet. told her it as a Greenie that was lodged in the dogs intestines. I tough oh my GOD and these As'"holes sale a product for dogs, which can kill them. Made me sick!! No GREENIES and my dog is on the mend. AMOZON SHOULD NOT SELL such a product ! PLEASE read the REVIEWS !
Our corgi is not the most house broken when it comes to grooming. He gets fuzzy or runs away from you so sometimes brushing teeth can take longer than expected. We mentioned this to our local vet and asked for recommendations or suggestions of what to do, as Teolif our corgi, was showing signs of some build-up in his teeth. He told us to try out Greenies because the texture of it helps clean the teeth as the dog chews. Well I was skeptical and not sure if adding this treat to a treat-driven corgi would be of any use. But so far it has helped the process. Our corgi is obsessed with the treats, no surprise there. But it has also reduced the build-up to a more manageable occasional brushing-teeth need. This doesn't replace having to brush his teeth and it never will but it has helped tremendously to not have to chase him around just for brushing his teeth so often. We give him one a day, sometimes every other day and it's helped. Unfortunately I never took progress pictures but it works just takes time to see results. Oh and we get him the petite or tiny size because regular just seems to big for him, plus we have to keep his diet in check.
my pup has been eating greenies for years. I think its his favorite chew. My first time i purchased the teenie one, i usually buy the regular size and break it in half. The size of these greenies are way better for him. He's 8lbs of pure cuteness. One thing to know is, the greenies don't really help with doggie breath smell. Maybe for 15mins his breath is fresh but not longer than that.
Are dogs go crazy when they hear us opening a box of greenies. 🐾🐾 These are great for your dogs they’ll help clean their teeth easily digestible they cost a little bit more but well worth it. We buy the smaller ones and give to our 90 pound black lab and similar size golden retriever. We use them more as a treat so we don’t feed them the recommended dosage we give them one a day.
These double as a great dog treat and a breath cleanser. My dog hates getting her teeth scrubbed so I have had to resort to these. I think it's funny that you have "Flavor" as a rate feature on the review, considering I can't ask the dog how it tastes and I'm not going to eat this myself. Great product for fresher teeth for your dog. Just don't let your dog get into the bag and eat too much or else she/he will be pooping green for a few days... At least the dog's breath will be fresh!
My dog can't live without these... she loves them more than any treat she's ever had! Make sure to buy them when they're on sale if possible, since they can be very expensive. My dog is about 16lbs, and the petite size is perfect. Greenies are one of the only treats that don't upset her sensitive stomach. Highly recommended!
I don’t understand why Amazon is having me review the freshness and the flavor - in fact, it concerns me very much. Do I taste it or do I lie and rate it 5 stars? Anyhow, my dog seems to enjoy them. She knows the exact time I give them to her and starts doing spins when I tell her it’s time. Do they make her breath smell minty fresh? I don’t know, but it’s worth the buy for her happiness.
The dog eats them fine however they appeared to be considerable harder than ones purchased local. But because the dog eats them fine I will continue to use at this point. The price is just a little better than locally.
I have 5 dogs and they all love these! Even the one that snubs his nose at prime rib jumps in front of the cabinet where these are kept. I only wish they made an XXL that is not as soft for big dogs. My Golden eats these in one bite.
My dog begs for this before bed (open crate). At times she seems to be addicted! Dont know what the real reason is, as she has different taste experiences and Only licks her chops almost wildly before this treat.
