Top critical review
I absolutely the Kanken, but am not a fan of counterfeits.

I purchased my first Fjällräven 15" laptop Kånken in 2012, and have carried it daily to school, work, different countries, and multiple hiking trips. It's phenomenal. The backpack is tremendously durable and has a deceptively large interior that can easily hold my MacBook, over-ear headphones, multiple books/notebooks, pencils/pens/sharpies, small organizer-bags, water bottles, small speakers, and raincoats. I loved my bag so much that I bought my friend a Kånken while visiting a Fjällräven store in Sweden. The authentic product is phenomenal, unfortunately the Ox Red Kånken I received was simply inauthentic. The circular logo had a strange hue and was missing the protective 'cover' found on my bag and the one I purchased in Sweden (again, these two are authentic). The laptop-compartment zipper extended farther down than the authentic version, and the spacing between different areas of the bag (the bottom "box" stitching, the bottom line to the front pocket, etc.) were higher than my model (both are 15"). The Vinylon-F used on all Kånkens is stiff but does loosen up over time, however the model I received felt fundamentally different -- both thicker yet more pliable -- than all other models I have seen. I even compared the model I was shipped against some new ones in-store, and the differences are fairly obvious. It's a shame leaving a 1-star review for a product I love so much. My friends joke about how I bring my bag everywhere, and I consider Fjällräven to be second-to-none in terms of product quality and brand mission. With that said, I wouldn't want someone to receive a product that is lower quality than what the company puts so much effort into making. It's a beautfiul bag regardless, but Fjällräven is a Swedish icon, and the brand developed its reputation on quality, well before dorks like me started using it to lug around cameras. An excellent bag, and certainly one worth paying for... when authentic.
