Bands came in perfect condition, well packaged in individual plastic wrappers which were then packaged in a small carry bag. Very compact and easy to carry to and from the gym. Bands are a little smaller width wise than I might've liked but overall fits the need perfectly. Would recommend/buy again.
I got these for Beach Body's 80-day Obsession. While they work great and are a deal.... If you have thicker thighs, they will roll like crazy. I would get so frustrated during my workouts when I had to wear the bands, because I knew that I would need to adjusts the bands as soon as I started a move (especially while doing moves on the ground). At points, I just wanted to stop working out, since I felt like I was spending more time adjusting the bands then working out! These bands also are kind of sticky once they roll up and would take forever to get unrolled. I would find a sweet spot every now and then, but for the most part it was just frustrating. So if you have thicker thighs, just be aware that you may just need to go through your moves with bunched up bands... Hopefully once I work off the extra weight using these bands, they'll won't roll!
I like these resistance bands a lot. I saw a few reviews of these on Youtube and I'm glad I took a chance on them. I like that it comes with the extra light and extra heavy bands, I feel like most brands come with four bands instead of five. I have used all of them at this point and I love how they amp up my workouts. I will say, they work better for me when I'm wearing shorts, and I've found that they can roll up when I'm wearing leggings and doing certain exercises. For example, I was using them on the stairmaster the other day, and were rolling up constantly so I eventually gave up and did something else. These are my first resistance bands so I don't know if all bands roll up with certain exercises or if it's just these. But with all other exercises I tried, they worked great! I love that they come with a little bag that I can easily throw in my gym bag. They do have a pretty strong rubber scent that rubs off on your hands, but the more I use them the more that goes away. They work well so I don't mind the scent.
I bought these bands for home workouts and have been very pleased so far. They roll up sometimes when using them around my thighs for glute bridges, etc (but what resistance bands won't?). Because of the width and heaviness of the bands they seem to stay straight more often than not. I've only used them for 3-4 workouts so I don't know how they will perform long term (hence only 4 stars) but they seem to be good quality and they come with a nice little carrying pouch as well as a little pamphlet giving a few examples of exercises you can do with them. So great to travel with to do workouts on-the-go without having to bring bulky gear or equipment with you. My only critique would be if they could be a little smaller in diameter, or offer two different diameters with the set. I also like knowing that they are made in the US.
I bought these at the beginning of the year when I did 80 Day Obsession because I wanted to save money since BOD can get expensive. I used them for all of phase 1 of the program but these became way too light, way too quicly for me. That was even when I would double or triple the bands too. Overall they're not bad but if you're going to use them for harder type workouts and looking to build strength, I wouldn't recommend these. They're too light I think. After phase 1 of the program I just ended up buying BOD loops because they were the strength I needed.
I love! Using these for warmups and finishers are the best. Given me the best glute pumps I’ve ever had. The extra strong one isn’t as strong as my Lovotex fabric one, but the heaviness range of these is ideal for warmups+finishers. Only issue: used less than 2 weeks and the extra light one has a minor rip already, but that was partially my fault; I should have been using the next one or two up for the exercise I was doing. Overall, even if I need to replace in a couple months, they were a great deal and will do it in a heartbeat.
First set I've owned. The only con is that they seem to curl up and not stay flat when stretched and moved up or down. So if you've got them around your legs for example and are stretching one leg back, the band will curl up and be a hard thick pressure in one spot as opposed to laying flat against your leg. Makes certain exercises slightly less comfortable. Other than that, they provide great resistance, are easy to travel with, and really do add a challenge to home work outs. They come with a booklet that provides exercises. They fit neatly and easily in the carrier bag.
I wasn't a fan of these originally because they had stuck together but Fit Simplify replaced them and upgraded me to the Pro=series which better fits my needs.
This particular set is indeed a bit weak for what I'm looking for, which is the reason for the 4 stars and not 5, but they are great quality bands and the customer service Fit Simplify provides is amazing.
If I ever need a replacement I'll likely go the pro series, but the service attached to this product has made me a customer for life.
I really only use the red and black bands - as a frequent lifter, the other bands don't provide much constructive resistance in that I can't find a use for them in which I need so little resistance.
This set would be more suitable for a novice trainer, someone getting into lifting, or someone going through rehab - but I wouldn't recommend it as a crucial addition to a home gym. I think better, stronger bands could be found out there.
Overall, these are pretty good bands. They do roll like crazy if I don't powder them, particularly the lighter resistance bands. I suggest you use baby powder to help prevent it, but it's a mess to work with. They do the job though and the little bag is really useful when carrying them around.
