Amazon.com: Customer reviews: Fintie Slim Case for All-New Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet (7th and 8th Generation Tablets, 2017 and 2018 Releases), Ultra Lightweight Slim Shell Standing Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep, Dual Color
I realized quickly after purchasing my Kindle Fire it needed a cover. The cover for my old Kindle is thick, heavy and awkward: so I wasn't sure about the covers for the new versions. This is better than I expected. It's ultra thin, light and even turns the device off and on when opened and closed. The only downside to that is I have to unlock my Kindle each time. That becomes a pain, depending on how I am using the Kindle.
After looking at all the loud and gaudy covers, I chose this one. It's subtle, mature, and understated, but not a one-color plain Jane. The leather is warm in my hand and has enough grip so it doesn't feel slippery. I like the suede like texture on the inside. This not only gives me traction when the cover is held open, it is great when propping the device up on a surface for hands free reading or movie watching. At first it felt a bit clumsy when it was open, but I learned to fold the first flap over. That way the rear facing camera is exposed and I also have a good grip.
Later on I may buy the more colorful covers, but I really like this.
Love the appearance of the Finite Slim Case. Problem is if you drop it, as I did, the thin plastic edge holding in one of the tiny magnets broke away, causing the magnet to pop out. It also broke near the top right at another thin portion of the plastic. It still serves it purpose of protecting the Kindle Fire and awakens and got to sleep when the flip cover it pulled open and closed.
I bought this particular case because it matches the ones I have on my Kindle Paperwhite and my Surface Pro 2017. I love that they all look like a "matched set" with these cases, and I love the thinness of it that doesn't add bulk to the tablet. It easily folds back so I can set it upright in a little Anker stand to use in Show Mode. Quality seems fine and I think it will last.
Fits new KF 8 perfectly and completely eliminating any need for additional screensaver protection. Makes the Kindle much easier to pickup and hold onto thus preventing any damage via dropping.which may be the best reason of all to have a cover for it.
I really like this case. It is good looking, feels good to hold and appears to be well made. It was easy to install and fit my Kindle Fire 8 perfectly. With the magnetic cover it turns the tablet on automatically when you open and shuts off when you close it. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it is holding up well.
Very attractive, the 2 toned Kindle Fire case fits 8th Generation snugly and is attractive. It isn’t as tough as an Otterbox, but it is rugged enough for household use. Excellent quality for a few dollars. Used by adult male 3 months.
Lightweight and professional. I would give this 5 stars if there was a way to stand the Kindle upright / vertical. It only stands when the screen is horizontal. Also, a few business card slots on the inside would be very helpful. Very easy to get the Kindle in and out.
Dynamite case, especially for the money. I love the brown/black color, the fit is perfect, and all of the cutouts are properly placed, including leaving space for the two side-mounted speakers. Sleep/wake function works fine. No complaints at all - a great value and a winner from Fintie!
This case is elegant and functional. The trick to get the Kindle standing nearly vertical as in the product photo might be non-obvious to a newbie (me). (Turn the tablet upside down and fold cover into triangle. Derp.)
