The subs functionality it quite limited. It only works for music streamed over the internet. That means that alarms, Bluetooth, voice response from alexa, news, weather, etc do not take advantage of the sub which is pretty disappointing. Also if you are using this in pair with two echos set up in stereo, the stereo speaker only works for music which is dumb.At first it didn't bother me but i found if i set the volume at 3, its plenty loud for music which plays through the stereo speakers and the sub, but if I ask alexa a question, 3 through one speaker is not loud enough.
Set up is also quite tricky. It took me a few tries to get it to connect to two speakers. It took a lot of my trying the same thing over and over until it worked.
The reason I gave it two stars is because the sound quality improvement going from one echo to two echos and sub is noticeably better. That said the set up and functionality is holding it back from being a 4 or 5 star product.
