Top critical review
It does a decent job of cleaning pet hair, but not amazing

I read reviews on this vacuum to make sure that it could transition from hardwood to carpet and handle pet hair. I have two German Shedders so the intent of this purchase was to have a robot vacuum that could run and keep up with the hair and dirt constantly tracked around my house with two dogs and two cats. I did not expect it to be flawless, but I am a bit disappointed in its suction power. I suspect the problem is that the small compartment for holding debris gets full and starts to affect suction long before it tells me that it is full. It is very easy to take it apart and clean the filters however. My other problem is that it’s not very smart in how it navigates. It will take off in one direction until it is about to run into something, then turns. It seems to turn at random and can get stuck in a smaller area for a while, so it works best in large open layouts, which is not exactly what I have. It also has trouble with my cat tree. I understand why it rolls onto the bottom carpeted base of my cat tree, but when it hits the tree part, it can’t seem to turn away from it and get off the base. I have to rescue it. Not horribly annoying, but not impressive either. Overall, I’m not disappointed in my purchase, but I don’t think it will be as effective for me as I had hoped. It doesn’t pick up a lot of dog hair and it definitely can’t pick up disassembled toy fuzz. I will try emptying the bin more often and perhaps it will do an adequate job of keeping up on general dust and dirt that way.
