Again. I have to repeat. Some of these shorts are better than the film features! This short was great! This short treads on "difficult" ground. Relationships between student and faculty on the higher education side is technically not "illegal" because generally the student is 18 or over - but is generally discouraged (for a mountain of reasons), and depending on the institution can be a violation of their policy - which in turn could result in the faculty members termination. On the other side of this situation, it is a "moral" dilemma / problem / sin. It is bewitching when the young show the older that kind of attention / infatuation / interest - especially when it is lacking from the other person's partner or significant other ... but, often times - even though the student is in higher ed, he or she may not have the maturity of mind to handle a student / professor relationship of that kind. Even for a single professor - that kind of relationship is a huge risk. There is so much more I'd like to say or add, but I don't want to give it away. It's a really good short, and if one is in higher ed - student or professor, one should check it out.
I can't say that it was what I expected, but, honestly, I didn't really know what to expect from a 30-minute film. I was surprised by what all they were able to fit in it. It turned out to be a pretty good ride. The story was interesting, the acting was mostly pretty good, the men were very attractive, and the plot was believable.
I particularly liked how they layered in the occurance of the key event with the Professor's reactions to it. The one thing that didn't seem quite on point was the husband's (lack of) reaction to his husband's disclosure that he had lied. With the Professor so obviously upset, I would not have expected his husband to have so easily accepted the explanation he gave. That point aside, watching it was time well spent.

Story line is interesting. Risky if one is a professor. True, some students are way too hot, horny, young a powerful. It might have been hard to ignore the offer. Gay men are different to what the attraction between 2 straight ppl might be on campus.
Acting is good. Minimal nudity yet worth watching.
In summary. Recommended. It's a short flick. Watch it.
Great little surprise, this film is a refreshing new direction on LGBTQ films. It really showcases the humanity and dynamics equally shared by straight families alike, highly representative of diverse families in a quirky yet captivating story full of raw emotion and truth. It escapes the sometimes caricature representation of “gay” stereotypes by developing the characters further; adding complexity and depth that I would say resembles a closer depiction of the human psyche in modern life regardless of sexuality. Overall, a great watch!
While the theme of this film is not original, the amazing acting and how the story was unfolded made it new and refreshingly real. From the description and even the many positive reviews, I still was taken back and did not expect how much I would enjoy this. I can't believe such a powerful story could also be told in 30 minutes.
A real beauty. Mr. Garcia gets it! He knows the brevity of telling a story and revealing inner emotions. Anyone who says this isn't good storytelling obviously hasn't seen many other examples. Truly a gem!

IMHO this was a better [short] film than many of the [short or long] LGBTQ films I've seen. Real angst in this one & not for just the obvious reason. The character of Tristen was acted wonderfully [whether one liked him or not], he was so attractive in physical presence as well as demeanor / personality [ his butt scenes were spectacularly photographed too !]. I also enjoyed the ending of the film VERY much. Thank you kindly.

My guess is that the positive reviews were written by family and friends of the cast and crew. Atrocious does not begin to describe how horrible the acting is in this short film; It was so bad I stopped it after 10 mins. The professor character (Derek) needs to find a new profession as he could not act his way out of a wet paper bag.
