I liked the navy color and mixed details including feathers, netting, and sculpted design flower. Also liked choice of clip or band to secure it to hair. Very fashionable and easy to wear. I bought it for my elderly mother to wear on Easter Sunday. It perfectly matched her lace dress.
Several of my girlfriends and I have started a monthly "lunch bunch", and wear our fascinators. Amazon is about the only place this side of "the pond", where you can find a great selection of Fascinators. For around $10 you can get them in any color to go with any outfit. For the price, the quality is lovely! Why should Kate and Meaghan have all the fun?
Had a wedding in England and wanted to wear a fascinator. This arrived in decent shape, a little flat from the envelope. I carefully moistened the ribbon and reshaped it with tissue paper. It looked great. I also purchased some pretty beaded white feathers from JoAnn Fabrics and hot-glued them in to match my black/white dress. I also noticed that there were two seams in the netting that I tucked in with the hot glue. For the low cost, this kind of touch-up is expected. For the trip, I packed it in my suitcase (for a week of travel before the wedding) with tissue in a packing cube with my scarves. It looked perfect for the wedding and I received compliments. :-) I even brought it back from 3 weeks in Europe for my granddaughter to play with, impressed with the durability.
This was beautiful and perfect for my 1940's murder mystery dinner. However, it came in a little plastic bag that squished and crimped the nylon. The description just says red. This would be better described as a VERY BRIGHT red. I needed more of an MM candy red. One little strand with 4 red beads fell off right out of the package. If it had been close to the red in my semi-formal I would have kept it. It would have needed to have a 1-3 second burst of steam to flatten the crimped nylon bow and ruffled netting into place if I had kept it. That's why I only gave it a 4 star. If it had been packaged at least 2 inches wider and not crimped the beads probably would not have fallen off (which would not have been a noticeable thing had I not even found the stand on the floor after my husband sent it back to amazon) I would have given it a 5. It is worth the gorgeous effect. It came with a clip and a headband for options.
I don’t know what it is but all of a sudden people are partaking in derby themed festivities and requiring that guests attend excessively hatted. I’ve made it through 27 years of life before having to google what a fascinator was, but it seemed like a smaller and more feasible option than one of those floppy derby hats with the circumference of a hula hoop. I purchased this particular fascinator because it came with a headband option and there is simply no hope for me to successfully bobby-pin this kind of menagerie to my head. It worked well actually. I was able to spend the day pretending to be of a higher socioeconomic status in a more ethically stunted time while sipping on a mint julep and receiving compliments on my “funeral hat.”
Well packaged and arrived fairly quickly. I like the quality and the fact that the fascinator has a pocket where you can place either the headband or clip so it can be worn either way. One of the beaded do-dads was loose, but I reattached it with some fabric glue and it was good to go. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated it 5 stars.
I was hesitant to buy this because of some negative reviews. I have to say when the package arrived and it was sent in a soft bubble envelope, I was concerned that I would find it crushed and damaged. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in perfect condition - it actually was better than I expected - even the feathers were perfect - I received many compliments on it!
