Great programmer, bad cable
Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2017
The programmer itself is great and works really well. It's small. Fairly well made. And is in a nice case that's the size of many USB flash sticks, with an end-cap to protect it. I'm dinging it one star, though, because the 4-pin cable it comes with is quite flaky. At least two of the pins on mine weren't adequately locked into the plastic housing and get pushed back when trying to insert them, causing them to be loose and not make good contact. I struggled a bit with mine getting it working until I realized that is what was happening. As long as you are careful to push on the wire and make sure that the pin slides into place, it will work, but I recommend replacing the cable with a better one. Perhaps the other reviewers who said they received programmers that were DOA experienced a similar issue?
