Good and Bad, but not Ugly

Good: The (red) pepper color is great for gardening with flair, even if you do look rather like a fat-footed leprechaun! The shoes are quite wide, but I like that because I can wear them with socks or not and either way, they don't slide around or fall off due to the somewhat tacky substance they are made of, and yet it's very easy to slide your feet in and out. They're lightweight. The holes in the tops provide reasonable air circulation.
The not-so-good: The holes in the tops let water in and it tends to pool and stay in the shoe rather than run out. That substance they are made of has a couple of downsides. 1) Dirt tends to become embedded in the foam-like material, giving you dirty shoes straight away, and 2) these aren't going to last as long as a regular garden clog, or any real shoe. Which brings me to the question of why I just paid $45 for what will most probably be a one season "rental." Still, I didn't send them back because I needed an Arizona summer garden shoe! But I wouldn't buy again.
