I hate this vacuum. I bought it to replace the Ilife A4s which was awesome, but after over 2 years of every day use, I felt like the battery was not lasting very long anymore. Unfortunately, it appears they don't make the Ilife A4s anymore.
At first this Coredy vacuum seems fine as it was quiet, and slim. Battery life was acceptable, though not that great. Suctions seemed ok. But pretty soon, I realized that the hole in the bin where the dirt enters is too small so it always get clogged right away. The bin never has a chance to fill up, because the hole gets full and then clogs and then the vacuum can't pick up any more dirt. This makes the vacuum very inefficient.
So I've hated this vacuum all along but now, at less than 7 months old, it has started making a very loud noise that clearly indicates a problem with the motor or whatever mechanism runs the thing. It's still working at the moment, but it's obviously broken and highly annoying. I definitely regret this purchase.
I was so excited to try this after all of the great reviews. I will say that the suction power is great and it does a good job of getting under couches and dressers. However, this does NOT map out the area. So it goes willy-nilly throughout the house and ends up going over the same area three times and completely avoiding the rest. It is not very smart and gets caught up on quite a bit. So, it ends up being more work guiding it into its missed areas and getting it out of trouble than it would be to vacuum it myself. After only a few months it is not even working now. I have taken it apart and put it back together and still nothing more than a few feet of action and incessant beeping. So, money wasted for a subpar job.
What makes the whole thing worse is upon receiving the vacuum, the box also included a card that said they would send me a $20 Amazon gift card if I gave them a 5 star review. Immediately I wondered at the accuracy of all the reviews I read that had influenced my purchase. I do not appreciate the attempt to buy good reviews. Those should be earned.
I had high hopes, but am now without a couple hundred dollars and a vacuum.
I just got our little Coredy and on the first day it seemed like it hit most of the living room, kitchen and hallway but never found its way home, it tried to go through a wall to get home. It did pick up hair. 2 days later I turned it on in the morning and it ran for a half an hour and stopped, started beeping with dead battery light. 0 for 2, I will try it again tomorrow and hopefully will go longer than 30 minutes. Should of webt with my gut instincts and got the Eufy instead
After using it for about a month now I am a bit disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for. My wife and I both have long hair and instead of actually cleaning it up the long hair just gets stuck in the vacuum and it doesn't clean up most of it. The most annoying part to be honest though is that you cannot just let it do the work. I have to take the remote and tell the vacuum where to clean and even then really only a fraction of what is actually on the floor will be picked up. I wish I would've spent the money to buy an actual vacuum.
I've had this robot for about a month and a half and have used it maybe half a dozen times.. It was great the first few times, but now it just constantly errors out and stops working.. I have cleaned every brush, cleaned the filters, cleared any hair off the spinners, emptied out the dust tray, rebooted it etc and nothing helps. I've gone thru the whole list of potential error message meanings that are listed in the manual, and nothing matches or makes it work. Now I have to sit and push the remote button every 3 minutes to keep it going long enough to vacuum.. which defeats the whole purpose. I might as well just break out my full size vacuum if that's the case.. Totally disappointed since I really thought this would be a time saver.
I bought this on March 1st 2019 when I first got it it worked great sucked up dog hair like a champ when I’d use my regular vacuum there wasn’t much to pick up almost 4 months later it’s lost it’s power or something It makes a weird noise while running and it hardly picks anything up I changed the filters still didn’t change anything so I bought a new brush and that didn’t help any the description says it comes with a 12 month warranty so I’m going to see if they stand behind their product
I Loved it in the Beginning, the Concept is Awesome. However, after 3 months the Brushes are no longer rotating Consistently. We have low-pile Carpet. My daughter reached out for support and I Don't Think Coredy Understands SUPPORT!! They Kept Insisting we must have High-pile Carpet (Not)!! Told her to repeat Everything she had already tried. She even explained we were thinking about purchasing an additional Unit; the Rep obviously Didn't Care. Well, the unit is Supposed to have a 12month Warranty. I'm Strongly considering Returning, but wouldn't have made More Sense for Coredy to send a Replacement?? Hmm
Cons: Coredy constantly get stuck under the couch. Sadly it doesnt fit but thinks it can and gets wedged there. Ive never had this issue with another robot vacuum. Others know what they can fit under or cant. The remote is very hard to use...it is counterintuitive and you must consult the manual to understand it. No wifi is really a deal breaker especially with such a bad remote.
Cons: -Stopped returning to charging dock after one month -Stopped working at all after a month and a half -No mapping, it goes in no particular pattern and usually misses half of the room it is in while hitting the same spots multiple times. -Runs into everything, it has a sensor on the front but it still hits everything. For example It ran into a folding chair and pushed it until it fell over on top of it. -Gets stuck between chair legs and tables and stays there until it dies
After it stopped working, I contacted support who had me do all of the basic tests on it, they then told me to email cordey support who slowly responded over and over with requests for me to test some of the same things I had tested already. The last email I received from them was to tell me they thought I had it turned off…. Needless to say, their customer support is poor.
This is more time consuming than traditional vaccuming. It catches on anything left on the floor. You have to be vigilant when its on. We had to change the vaccum time to when we were home because when it got stuck, we had to hunt for it. We have a small 2 bed 1 bath apartment with 2 cats. It's too late to return otherwise I'd get something else. Real waste of money. To sum up: make sure you pick up everthing off the floor, then turn it on, then watch it for an hour (its takes about 2 hrs to do a full sweep of our apt and its LOUD), then you can go to bed LOL
