I REALLY am happy with these compression cubes. I purchased 6 sets for each member of my family for an early Christmas as we were traveling for the holiday. Id never used packing cubes before. I'm extremely happy with these even just for packing cubes but the compression factor is a added benefit. In the first photo I have, the orange cube isn't compressed and the blue one next to it, is. They're close to the same size but it just presses it down a bit more and pulls the sides in making it easy to tightly fit in the suitcase. While on our trip I loved being able to keep my clothes organized and easily separated from my son's clothes which were in a different color cube. My son is 5 and I was able to fit ALL of his clothes (1 weeks worth) in the 3 cubes. Shirts and pants in the large, pajamas in the medium and socks and underpants in the small. It was amazing. My husband didn't have a need because he usually fits his clothes into his suitcase without a problem so I ended up using his cubes as well as mine for all my clothes and could fit All my clothes AND my son's clothes into one side of a medium sized suitcase. These cubes are good quality with good zippers. You have to be a bit careful while compression zipping them as to not get the fabric caught but it's not that difficult. I have already recommended them to others and will be buying them as gifts for frequently traveling family members. I didn't have 5 stars because my only complaint is I wish the opening zipper opened fully on 3 sides. There were a few times that was a bit frustrating but the price point was right and i'm extremely happy with them otherwise.
Great packing cubes. Main zipper is easy to use but you have to be careful with the compressing one since it has a tendency to catch on the material. The sizing for this set is much more practical for my usual travel (compared to the larger set since I don't need a huge bag). Great for carry ons!
I bought these for my sister who is studying abroad next year. We are then going on a 3 week trip to 3 other countries with varying climates from very cold to tropical. I took photos of the size of the bags zipped, unzipped, how much they weigh and what all I had in them. I am undecided on how much space these will really save, but I am impressed with the quality and they are compact. I had to take a few things out of the bags for fear of damaging the zippers. I will say the over all quailty is very good. As you will see you can pack quite a bit in these. In the small one I had 4 full sized dress scarves, one bra, 8 pairs of diffrent types of socks and 7 pairs of panties.
In the medium one i had 2 tee shirts, one long sleeved under armour shirt and 3 light weight sweaters. In the large one I had 2 pairs of blue jeans, one pair of dress pants and 2 pajrs of jeggings. Also had a pair of yoga pants, and 2 slips.
I think for me i would need an additional large one for my trip, but these do keep everything organized and they are compact.
I did have to push the linning in and clothes inside around to get the compression zipper to entirely close. It did get caught up a few times but it was very easy to get unstuck. Hope this helps you in your decision.
This is the first packing cubes that I really like. They are lightweight and yet sturdy. For maximum space saving I squeeze as much as air out of each sleeve before zipping it up completely. Just wish they would be made with a see-through material so it is easier to identify the content of each sleeve/cube.
I bought these as an add-on to the first compression bags. The ones with the mesh work better than these. You do need to be careful to run your finger just under the zipper as you are closing them as they will catch the material, but otherwise they work great for keeping your packed item organized, which is important when you are living out of your suitcase and unable to unpack.
I got this Gonex set of 3 packing cubes last week sometime and now I’m starting to pack for an upcoming trip. Just as I’m trying to zip up the second compression zipper, there’s a little rip that formed on the side of the bag. I’m not sure if this can handle the opening and closing of the cube for the entirety of the trip. I will update my review after I return.
My new husband and I needed to pack a lot of different things for a 30 day honeymoon. It helped a great deal in organizing the suitcase. I still am not certain about how much they actually compressed but I like them all the same.
We used these packing cubes when we went on a month and a half treck of Europe and Thailand. I also used then I a two week western US trip. They were awesome. They keep things contained and organized as well as creating extra room in your luggage. They are well constructed and durable. Lee's expensive than many to. I just wish it had included another medium or small cube.
I used these compression cubes for a few overnight trips, and while I love the color, and the easy packing ability I have to say I was a little disappointed with the opening of the bag. It seemed awkward while packing and repacking. These cubes are incredible durable and the zippers were tested and held up to several days worth of clothes along with thick pajamas. I really enjoyed the packing made easy process.
