These headphones are phenomenal. I have been shopping for some noise canceling professional headphones without the ridiculous price tag. This totally have fulfilled my needs. The sound quality is clear, nice base, noise canceling feature is fantastic, the Bluetooth is so easy to pair, aesthetically these headphones are beautiful and they are sooooo comfortable. Excellent built and quality. I love the placement of the ports and controls. You would think just by looking at these headphones they cost a few hundred bucks...but that not the case...you are getting tremendous value for your money.
Don't let the image fool you. These headphones are pretty big and can be an adjustment initially due to their weight but after spending some time with them thus far I love them!
The best things about them right now would have to be 1. Look, 2. Comfort, 3. Ease of use, 4. Sound quality, 5. Noise Cancellation. To be brief (I have a longer video on my Youtube channel, named Melvin Taylor ii) I'll explain what I mean.
1. They look awesome. Fresh out the box they have a cool and wow factor that blew me away as I picked them up. 2. The ear padding is comfortable after an adjustment. Yes, they are kind of heavy initially but after using them you adjust and your ears fit neatly inside their cups. 3. I initially thought having the buttons on the earpiece would be a hassle but they're not at all. They're actually quite effective and well placed as to blend into the look and design of the headphones. 4. The sound quality has been stellar in my opinion. I've had other headphones they are louder yes but they could be overpowering while loud. These have more of a succinct/crisp loudness that doesn't overpower nor become too loud. 5. I happened to be on the subway during rush hour with these and the only thing I heard was the vibrations of the train. Normal conversation that would be louder than my music disappeared. I could barely even hear myself think how good these are.
In summary, I highly recommend these for someone that would like to try something new. Definitely a great purchase!
I had a pair of the Cowin E7 headphones for about a year and a half, and had some slight issues with some strange noises when walking with them on. The new E8's are incredible and a vast improvement over the E7's. They arrive a nice black box with a very nice graphic of what's inside. They come in a semi-soft case that has a cutout that the headphones sit in with an elastic strap to keep them in place. They have a very clean look and feel very well made. It only to a few seconds to connect them to my Cell Phone via Bluetooth and was listening to various type of music in less then a minute. The sound quality is much better then you would expect for the cost at low and high volume levels. I tested a phone call and the Mic seemed to pick up very well for it's placement but I have not had the chance to test in a more crowded location, we will see! The improved padding is very noticeable and very comfortable during a 30 minute train ride. My wife did notice a bit of a sound bleed when I wore them in the house but it wasn't a major issue. During my train ride the noise cancellation was pretty good and cut out most of the train noise, but i was able to hear the station announcements which is a benefit for me. Over all. I am very happy with these headphones and with Cowin's Support as they have been very helpful in resolving issue I had with my E7's. Don't forget to sign up for VIP Status which will extend your warranty to 18 months. Thanks Cowin for a better wireless listening experience.
My son had a pair of the E7s and loved them so I thought for my travels I would try these which are similar but have active noise canceling too. Very happy so far. I use for plane travel often and these definitely help you check out from the plane noise and enjoy a movie or some music. Comfortable and have never run out of power on my long trips which is important. They sound great with or without the noise canceling on. Can take calls on them too and sounds good from both ends so this is good. They look very nice, (see attached pix and video). Also, and this is a big one the Bluetooth is very good. Easy connection and stays connected. It's a bummer when you have to reset Bluetooth etc.. which with these I have never had to do. I have more than one pair of headphones, but these are my go to now for sure.
I purchased the E-8 because my wife and I were constantly racing each other for the use of my E-7 Pro. Now, she has her own. Differences: The E-8 is generally slightly larger and heavier than the E-7 but feels much more sturdy on your head. It stays put once on and adjusted. The controls are easier to use and it takes very little to get used to. Feeling the buttons are much simpler; the E-7 was a bit more difficult to master. Don't get me wrong, I love both of these Cowin's. I especially appreciate that Cowin has separated the noise cancelling switch from the power button. No more mistaking what control you are accessing. The E-8 has beautiful gold trim (even in the USB charging cables and phono jacks are gold plated). The included hard shell case is a must while traveling. Sound quality is top notch as my wife can attest to. I use it for more video and movie watching on a plane and she uses it strictly for listening to music. The same goes for the noise cancelling feature, especially nice while mowing or while on a plane. I don't use the microphone function that often but have no complaints; just have to speak a little louder than you would with a conventional phone headset. The headband is very nicely cushioned. I waited a bit to write the review so I could get used to wearing it for a while. Absolutely no complaints!
Recently I purchased the COWIN E8 Headphone in black with a golden colored stripe. I really like the black design with a golden stripe.
The superior sound quality of E8 has really impressed me. The bass and noise cancellation feature is superb. I highly recommend this headphone for everyone who is looking for Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. I am a programmer and I used this headphone while working in my office. This has really help me to concentrate on my work and avoid any distractions and ambient noise around me.
The over-ear cushions on the E8 are very comforting and fit really well with any sized ear. I could literally put on my headphone for hours without putting it out and still doesn't hurt. With the previous headphones that I have used, I could barely put it for an hour and it would start hurting in my outer ear.
Multi-functional buttons in-built in the headphone allows to control any multimedia playback and receive phone calls. This is very handy and easy to use and thus remove the hassle to have your device with you. You can just move freely within a room and still be able to control volume, playback, and calls.
Moreover, the longer battery life of this headphone is a very good aspect of this headphone. Even with Active Noise Cancellation Mode On, it is good enough to listen for a whole day so you don't need to charge your headphone every now and then.
These are the best headphones ever! They are comfortable and fit my big ears! They also have an extreme amount of bass for anyone's needs! For the price I honestly fell honored it is so low because they are so amazing! If you are looking for amazing sound Quality and Battery Life this is the way to go!
First off, the passive sound isolation from the headset is very good, unfortunately the ANC doesn't really add much, and it often makes strange buzzing sounds that become annoying. The sound quality is actually quite balanced, and overall satisfying for portable headphones in this price range. There is good bass extension, and the mids are forward enough. Where these headphones really stand out is in the build quality, the metal arms, solid plastics, very soft pleather, and stiff adjustment markers all feel like something well above this price range, including something like the Sony MDR xb950, which retails for far more than this.
So I have a weakness for Bluetooth headphones I guess. I have a pair of Cowin E7s and also a pair of TeuTonics BH040's... and now these. I have been using these E8s exclusively for about a week now and I am really enjoying them. Before these, the E7's were my go-to pair, their sound was just so much more natural than the TeuTonics (TT) which is heavy on the base. These E8s are much fuller in sound and there is a lot of base as well. It looks like Cowin wanted to up their style game on these E8s and they definitely did. Much cooler look and better construction all around. The ear cups are comfortable and even easily removable. That may be the coolest thing about them! The Case is much bigger than the E7s, but very nice. Since I use these primarily when I'm watching TV, the heavier weight really doesn't make any difference to me. There is a microphone that works for phone calls but I wouldn't use this as a gaming headset. Since I use these in my bedroom, I don't really have an opinion on the noise cancellation. I'll be flying later this year, and am curious to see how they do on a flight. I use them without noise cancellation to save battery and less bass in the sound. The one thing I have not figured out yet, is how to switch bluetooth sources without turning off the headphones and then turning them back on again. If I figure that out, I'll update this post. As far as battery life, I still have not had them die on me! Multiple hours and they keep on going! Since I want to keep using them I get nervous after several hours and plug them in to charge. The headset is a little smaller than the E7's, but is collapsible and more durable than the E7s. All-in-all I am really happy with these headphones.
